As part of my MA study at Waterbear, I've chosen to explore the research question:

"How can aspiring professionals from lower income backgrounds overcome perceived class barriers in the UK music industries?"

I'm looking for people who work in music-related roles in the UK (of all classes and levels) to spare a few minutes to complete this survey on their experience of class barriers.

I'm particularly looking for people who would consider themselves now to be an established professional and who identify as coming from a working class background.

Earlier this year, I sadly lost my beloved bearded dragon, 'Benson', named after jazz guitar legend, George Benson.

For some years, not knowing much about reptile physiology, I was under the impression Benson was a male. To my surprise, benson was in fact a female. King Benson was in fact, a Queen.

Anyway, long story short, Benson has, this week, had the opportunity to live on in our memories through the wonders of DALL-E on ChatGPT.

Take a look at their journey through the heavens as they jam with jazz greats and spiritual leaders before hitting rock bottom, being forced to busk on the streets of Sheffield for spare change, before eventually being taken in by the former Queen of England.

Having a fondness for reptiles, she kindly invited Benson to perform at the palace for her, but little did she know that Bearded Benson and her gang of lizards were there to infiltrate the palace and take over.

After addressing the nation as the new King/Queen of the land, Benson and their party lead a procession to Boomtown Festival, where they raved with thousands of revellers.

Benson lives on!
