I don’t know about you, but I would say the weather has been pretty drab so far through this mega month of January… I think it’s the 1739th of the month now? Anyway, today I wanted to throw it back to mid December when I met the super lovely Bethany & Jake for a 1 hour couples session.

Booking outdoor sessions in winter can be tricky; it’s either freezing cold, raining, windy, snowing or all of them combined! We got really lucky and managed to merge the most gorgeous golden winter sun with some crispy snow and a backdrop of fir trees 🌲

VANESSA & MARTIN - The Devonshire Arms

Sometime's you've just got to go for it in life, and that's exactly what Vanessa & Martin did in August. They had planned to have their traditional wedding at the Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, but when they saw the elopement package they thought why not? Let’s go for it!

They booked me for their intimate day which my 3 hour package is perfect for; covering the ceremony and followed by a walk in the sunshine down to Bolton Abbey where we chatted and stopped for photos along the way!

EMILY & JACK // SNEAK PEAK

The weather was definitely set to 'Yorkshire' for Emily & Jack's special day, but they didn't let that dampen their spirits as they celebrated their marriage with friends and family. It's safe to say that I'd be set for life if I had a pound for every belly laugh and ear to ear smile on the day - the love for life between these two was absolutely infectious and a joy to photograph!

LAKE DISTRICT LOVERS

One of my favourite places to photograph weddings is in the absolutely stunning Lake District. I was so happy that Adam Hudson Photography gave me the opportunity to second shoot for him at the beautiful New House Farm Lorton near Crummock Water for Kate & Dan’s lovely Lake District wedding.

After the ceremony we headed off to the lakeside, courtesy of B Spoke By Spike-Chauffeured Services, for some intimate couples portraits. The sun was shining, the water was still and the backdrop was incredible - and of course, the gorgeous Kate & Dan were the cherry on top 🖤

CHARLOTTE & DANNY // SNEAK PEAK

On Sunday 22nd May, I had the absolute pleasure to photograph Charlotte & Danny's dreamy wedding at Rudding Park, Harrogate. The bridal party were announced into the ceremony to the Jaw's theme tune, the vows featured references to Danny's football club and in his speech Charlotte's dad reminded Danny that he owns a gun - all in jest, of course!

Joking aside, this beautiful couple just bounce off each other and it really was so lovely to witness them become husband and wife before jetting off to St Lucia on their honeymoon - not jealous at all 🤣

Way back in May I got the amazing opportunity to second shoot alongside the incredibly talented Jemma Louise Photography, at my second wedding. The marriage of Sarah & George at The Priests House & Old Chapel!

We were off to a rocky start, weather wise, with drizzle in the morning and dark skies overhead - it was all a bit uncertain if the sunshine would break through, but it did 😌

Perfectly timed just after the ceremony, our newly weds stepped out to beautiful blue skies and the sun beaming down on the ruins behind the venue ☀️
