Dear Facebook,

As you are aware, it's not been an easy couple of years for performers and have been lacking my presence on here for some time. Sadly, it's been getting to me in a great deal that many of my singing peers have been getting bookings, yet my diary remains empty. 👎

It's not a sympathy vote, it's just an observation which has not been great on my mental health. Lets just say, I have had no choice but to dip my toe in the water, rather than being completely submerged like my other established friends. Behind the scenes, I am working on a great band project as we speak, but these ventures take time and commitment.

However, Christmas is just round the corner and I want to at least sprinkle some kind of Christmas cheer with glitter as December approaches.

So I am asking if any of my musical friends, groups or homies are feeling generous to share the stage or promote me towards these opportunities on the run up towards Christmas, it would really mean a huge amount.

Please do give me a great big shout! ❤

With thanks to Yoga, HIIT and being more physically active over lockdown, I have lost a stone since January.. all whilst finally packing up smoking in March.. it had to go to help the anxiety and panic attacks. ✊🏽

🎹 KEYBOARDIST WANTED 👀

Hey guys! Got some rather exciting news to share and on the look out at the same time..

As a sideline to my solo work, I am becoming a lead singer of a soul band that’s being put together for gigs coming up from the summer and beyond. 🤗

We are looking for someone who would be interested and committed to join us as a keyboardist/pianist who would be comfortable learning various chords/melodies and sequences for popular soul cover songs.

We would be looking at getting gigs across the south coast between Southampton (possibly Bournemouth) and Brighton.

I know you may be asking yourselves why I couldn’t do it..? However I want to focus on a different aspect of performing after much consideration.

We are yet to confirm when rehearsals are to start, but we would be looking to rehearse somewhere between Southampton and Portsmouth. Having your own transport is essential.

Some great news to wake up to!

Now we just need to sort the music side of things. 😉

🥳 HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! 🥳

It is a glorious day out there and going to be spending the day celebrating some rather fabulous news received last night.

My business plan has been approved by the government scheme and will be going OFFICIALLY self-employed! 😁

So much hard work and determination has gone into establishing a position where I could work for myself, doing what I love and all without the pressures or demands under a heavy hand. Being told how to channel my creativity just wasn't my vibe! It's really humbling to accept what the universe decided to throw at me last year as it all went on spending valuable time reassessing the potential future.

After speaking to many people who are self-employed, it is undoubtedly hard work and can be a difficult journey especially at the moment. However, whilst we are holding out for better times following the most recent announcements, I have hopes that the business will fall into place when economic normality returns in the not too far distant future.

Under our new name, 'Washpalette Stationery', we will still be producing and delivering the same bespoke work, including new designs and the launch of our wrapping paper!

As we look forward to a better future, I hope to still gain all of your support during this unusual but exciting journey as a small independent business and hope to see you at an exhibition or a local market place real soon for a chat!

This may be a rather amusing post to see and don’t get me wrong, this app was fun to play with! 😂

But let me talk to you about inspiration!

One of mine is Whitney Houston. She was at the top of her game during the 80’s and 90’s when I was growing up exposed to soul music. I was immensely sad to hear of her passing back in 2012.

We know, that it is impossible to match any vocal style to another person because our anatomies are completely different - it is what makes us unique! However, I have enjoyed over the years using my listening skills and vocal capabilities to capture some of her riffs and motifs which inspire my own vocals today.

I am so thrilled to be working on my FIRST ever SINGLE written by myself! We are in the midst of working towards production and recording sessions to bring you the best in quality sound.

There are not enough LGBTQ+ artists represented in this fiercely competitive industry and I want to not just get my place, but MAKE my place. I have accepted that identifying as gender fluid and androgynous is a part of my soul and I want people to know that.

Look out this year for ‘Venus’ the invisible and dynamic manifestation of where love really takes you.

Showing myself in a completely different spotlight, I love being able to perform a variety of songs from old school classics to modern, all with my own twist of course!

Planning this next phase was always my intention, even during the pandemic so I could hit the ground running when it can be safe to do so. As a vocalist, it's always important to show the world what you can offer even if the industry seems a little faded right now - you really never know who is watching and where it may take you next!

COVID-19 has really made me miss dancing on a Saturday night.. so I thought I would create something to bring the vibe to you in celebration of Black History month!

2004 seems quite a long time ago, but that is the year both of these 00's tunes were brought to our attention.. all whilst fumbling over my GCSE options! Working outside the box, I wanted to re-create my own rendition which features a mashup and another surprise from my very own partner, James!
