Well 2022 exceeded all expectations!
This time last year I wrote a paragraph about how balloons had changed my life; how I had gone from a girl with no ambition, no direction; to a goal setter and goal getter. It may sound crazy to some people but I was a new mum and I was struggling to find my place and purpose.
In April 2021, I started Blisstical Balloons and I could never foresee what it would become and what it would mean for me; both personally and professionally.
2022 has been a year of growth and has continued to transform my life; making me the happiest I've ever been.
Here are just a few of the highlights from this year:
- I continued to develop my technique and find my own style in organic balloon installations. I take real pride in producing the best quality work with the best quality materials for my clients.
- Being asked to demo at the @pop_balloon_expo in June and then being asking to install on behalf of @amscanuk at the bootcamp and Watford expo! I never thought I'd be asked to do anything like this so I will forever be grateful!
- Getting my own van! I was lucky enough to have access to a van when I started but getting my own van was a huge goal for me this year and a game changer moving forward!
- Winning best in helium at the Watford POP Balloon expo
- Winning the runner up prize for Best Double Hoop at the @proballoonshop Balloon Artist Awards in October!
THANK YOU for your continued support this year, for keeping me busy and allowing me to be part of so many of your special days! I still do a little happy dance with every booking and appreciate all the likes, comments, shares and words of support, it NEVER goes unnoticed so thank you!

That I installed these light up numbers and balloon backdrop in 30 minutes?!
Yes, you read that right!
I'd be lying if I said it wasn't stressful - this was my last installation of 2022 and I spent the majority of the time I'd put aside for install, sat in traffic.
As I've become more experienced, I have become faster at working whilst still ensuring I produce the best work for you all but I usually like to allow myself between 1 - 2 hours dependent on the size of the job and what's involved. This unfortunately didn't pan out how I planned (sometimes this happens) but I wanted to keep it as stress free for the client as possible and I knew exactly what I was going to do and how I was going to do it, which allowed me to produce the results that I wanted much faster!
I can't stress enough the importance of having a solid technique and a plan before you even leave for an installation. Think about all possibilities and possible barriers and be prepared!
