Following on from today's Farewell tribute I had some flowers left over so I made a wreath for the family to take home with them.
Just little touches like this I think is so important and special, they would have only of gone in the bin otherwise.

Simple and elegant Farewell wreath.
I've been busy creating different types of funeral flowers for a brochure so people can see the types of work that can be done.
All my designs are sustainable and eco friendly.

There's lots of options when it comes to sympathy flowers and we understand not all budgets are the same.

In this arrangement we are celebrating the life of a loved one with a seasonal hand tied sheaf. This can then taken home and arranged in a vase for the family to enjoy ❤

As always we have ensured this design is eco friendly.

After working crazy hours this week until 9.30pm, I got up early and headed over to to create some Farewell tributes for my brochure. We focused on hand tied sheafs and single ended sprays keeping in mind my sustainability approach to floristy. 💐

I have so many plans for next year but instead of going full pelt in selling like I did at the very beginning of my flower journey I've reined myself back to focus on what I can successfully grow to use in my arrangments for next year.
Sometimes I look at my fellow florists that began the journey with me that are totally smashing it and think 'man I'm flagging' but I have to tell myself I'm coming at my flower journey in a different way now and too take my time.
I'm lucky that I have another business to fall back on and this can grow in its own time and at my pace.

Today I popped to the allotment and the Dahlias are looking fab! I'll definitely be planting more varieties next year!

Creating Farewell Flowers is my passion, it took me a while to find my way in this new journey!

If you like something a little different then I'm here to help....I create wild and free arrangements that can be from the standard casket spray or let's get creative! Arrangements can be made in lots of different ways that can really special and memorable. A favourite pair of boots/wellies filled with flowers can be a great idea.
I can even come over and take some cuttings from the garden to use.

All my arrangements are sustainable and eco friendly, no floral foam is used in any of my designs.

Having a child in tow makes things a little more difficult when it comes to checking on the flowers and giving them a feed but Tilley really enjoyed herself and even managed to eat a few raspberries that had starting growing 😋

As a newbe to the allotment world, does anyone have any tips for what cut flowers and vegetables I could start growing so late in the year?

I've been away for 10days and came back to the Dahlias really starting to open up!

This year I'm testing out what I can successfully grow for my sympathy arrangements. There's nothing more satisfying that what you've grown yourself.

After a very long 4 weeks up and down from Cornwall I am home for month before I get to make the journey again for my best friends wedding.

It'll be nice to be there for a happy memory as it's been pretty crappy for us as a family recently.

We are so lucky to have our cottage there, full of wonderful memories.
Just look how lovely it is and I totally love our well too that my recent floral tribute is sat proudly on.

This week has brought me back to reality....

When doing my 4 week career change course I knew it was Farewell Flowers that I really loved doing.

But when I got back home I thought I needed to be a jack of all trades in the industry. I instantly started doing bouquets for people and have a couple of weddings in.

This week I did a Farewell tribute and it hit me like a ton bricks.....why I am not just focusing on this, this is where my heart lies in the flower world. I don't HAVE to do everything! Do what you love!

I gave myself a talking too 😆

So here I am.....dedicating my time to bring joy through flowers for loved ones that have passed.
(Don't worry Brides that have booked in, your wedding will have my full attention and creativity on your special day)

This arrangement brief was wild, colourful, full of joy and all from the garden and local hedgerows of the recipient with lots of added cut flowers from

I love how supportive the flower industry is.......

This week I made my Grandads Farewell Flowers.

It was important to me to use flowers from his garden and local hedgerows. However I just didn't have enough to create what I wanted.

I was very lucky that 10minutes away, Ruth from has an amazing plot where she grows lots of cut flowers. I contacted Ruth the day before and she was so accommodating and just let me pick to my hearts content.

I got to pick foliage, sweet peas, iris', nigella, cornflower, orlaya and some grasses.

I would like to wish Ruth all the success she deserves, I couldn't have done it without you x

Being sustainable is core to my business. No floral foam or one time plastics are ever used.

𝑇ℎ𝑟𝑒𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝐿𝑒𝑒𝑘

An invasive plant, albeit a pretty one, it’s an offence to plant it (or otherwise cause it to grow) in the wild in the UK. It spreads easily (mainly via ants dispersing the seeds) and can become dominant where it grows, crowding out other spring wild flowers like bluebells and primroses. So eat it with abandon, pick the flowers, pickle the seed pods! Or pop it in an arrangment, they have lasted really well in water.

The weather is pretty horrid here today but I managed a quick walk up the lane to gather some flowers to arrange in a little China cup I used to play 'cafe' with as a little girl.

I love all the Three Cornered Leeks that have popped up, apparently they are a nuisance but I that's OK I'll use them 😉

I'm going to miss being able to pop out and forage a little arrangment together when I get home this week.

I can just imagine this as lovely table centre pieces for a spring wedding.

I've always said I would never permanently live her but maybe I should now after finding my love in the countryside flowers readily available 😆

Well what an eventful day! On a nice walk this evening to forage on the local hedgerows we came across a very skinny cat that followed us all the way home.

She's had a good meal and we've made her a bed up in the barn. Poor little thing....

I have definitely found my love for all the wild flowers you can pick here, now sat looking very pretty in the cottage.

A traditional flower crown right there 😆
