This incredible dish is pan seared Venison served with poached brambles on a leek and seaweed terrine finished with jus.

Our fantastic Chef Craig Ferguson created this amazing dish as part of a tasting menu for a wedding a couple months ago.

I was lucky enough to try some of the amazing food during a recent visit to Crear.

The incredible balance of flavours in the terrine complimented the venison extremely well, which was cooked to perfection! The poached brambles added the perfect tart flavour to round out the whole dish. This was truly one of the most incredible meals I have tried. Absolutely Delicious!!! If you have the opportunity to try Chef Craigs food I would fully recommend it!

We just LOVE Ann's choice of beautiful blooms for her Crear Wedding. Agnes here at Blooming Wild Crear Flowers just waggled her magic fingers and created this beautiful wild flower bouquet and matching floral wand for young Esme. Best of all it smelt totally delicious. So while you cannot sniff the pictures, feast your eyes. 🥰

Ohhhh one of our lovely brides who knows her food as blogger extraordinaire recent review! Chef Craig was SUPER excited to create a bespoke tasting menu for Emma and Richard using all local produce - oysters, lobster, partridge and venison! 😋😋😋😋

It’s fair to say that no one wanted the week to end, Crear is a magical place and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for our wedding celebrations.
Kate, Agnes and the team - you were all just amazing. Our whole day flowed from beginning to end and you helped us enjoy every moment!
Our guests truly loved the location, with many never having been to Scotland before. I don’t think many believed us that we would get married on the beach..! I’m so glad we were able too!
Craig - we were completely blown away by the food - as were our guests - every course and all of the canapés were just delicious. We’re all very much still talking about the food!
Alex - the most chilled photographer ever, just what we both needed. We both can’t wait to see the photos.

"It is incredibly difficult to put into words how perfect our wedding at Crear was. Everything was very relaxed and nothing was too much to ask. Crear is a wonderfully intimate venue with a really homely feel. I know we are biased but it was by far the best wedding we’ve ever been to from the food to the view to the whole atmosphere. All of our guests had the most incredible time and thoroughly enjoyed visiting and exploring a beautiful part of the country so far off the beaten track. Thank you to all the staff, if we could do it all again we’d be back in a heartbeat and change nothing!"
