We are delighted that Anita D’Attellis, the choir’s principal accompanist, will give the second concert in our Amicus Recital Series. This series is an opportunity for us to showcase some very good friends of the choir, performing a programme of well-known and popular works, interspersed with something less familiar.
Anita has performed extensively as a solo and concerto pianist and chamber musician, with recitals at the Brighton and Cheltenham International Festivals, Snape Maltings, the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and the Symphony Hall, Birmingham. This ‘rhapsodic’ recital will be a wonderful opportunity to witness Anita’s virtuosic playing at close hand, a real treat!

We are delighted that Richard Pearce, one of the choir’s regular accompanists, will launch our Amicus Recital Series. This series is an opportunity for us to showcase some very good friends of the choir, performing a programme of well-known and popular works, interspersed with something less familiar.
Fresh from his regular appearance at the Last Night of the Proms, Richard takes time out to impress with a brace of the world’s most popular toccatas and a selection of beautiful organ music to suit all tastes. Richard started out as an organ scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is now a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama; he plays and broadcasts regularly with the BBC Singers. Expect a little stardust!

Our choir director (John Young) was Director of Music at St George's School Windsor Castle from 1990-1999 and Robert Fovargue (one of our basses) sang there as a chorister under Sidney Campbell.
Saturday 17th August (Evensong 5.15pm) and Sunday 18th August (Mattins 10.45am; Evensong 5.15pm)
Music includes anthems by two former organists of St George’s (Sidney Campbell and Sir William Harris). We shall also be singing music by Herbert Howells (Coll Reg Te Deum and Jubilate), Joanna Forbes L'Estrange’s King’s College Service, and Responses by former In Ecclesia member John Merrick.
