Zoe and Steve chose me to DJ their wedding yesterday at Altyre Estate in Forres, and they couldn't have picked a better day or venue. The sun was shining all day for them, and the venue is nothing short of stunning.

As the weather was so fabulous and lots of guests were sitting outside enjoying the weather, I decided to give them a free extra.

As well as setting up as normal in the function room of the Clubhouse at Altyre, I decided to throw a couple of small speakers outside, extending the partying and meaning no one missed out on the fun. These speakers don't have earth shaking amounts of volume, but are brilliant for situations like this.

I think that it's the little extra on your big day that can make the difference.

I was honoured to be asked by Bobby and Colleen, the new Mr&Mrs Black to help out at their wedding at the brilliant Puldagon Farm Shop & Restaurant. Over the last 18 months we have talked back and forth about what they wanted and how I could make it happen.

With me supplying background music for the meal and acting a MC for the speeches, then DJing the night away for them in the barn, it was a delight to entertain you and your guests. We even managed to slip in a little Shaggy, Linkin Park, and TLC into the play list along with the usual favourites.

Why do people choose me for their big day? Well, I can't give you every reason, but I think one has to be the services I provide.

Bekki and Ashley contacted me back in January to provide them with my outdoor ceremony and meal package at Stemster House for their big day. Over the last few months we've discussed what they all wanted and needed.

This week, as we were finalising the music for the ceremony, and on Thursday Bekki asked if I could play a voice note from their children just before I played her entrance music, and of course I said I would.

When she sent me the voice notes, I had a brain wave. Bekki wanted her entrance song to start as a specific point, but I suggested why don't I play the song from the start, but I'll remove the vocals from the first bit, and instead play the cutest voice note ever over it, ending with her son saying "Here comes mummy!", just before her entrance? She agreed, thinking it would be brilliant.

A bit of editing and reworking later, the track was ready. And do you know what? On the day it worked better than anyone imagined. Infact it was so cute that if anyone there said they had a dry eye, they were lying.

Had a last minute shout from Wick Gala on Tuesday to see if I could help them out of an emergency and supply a photo booth for their Kid's Neon Party on Wednesday afternoon.

On the kids each got a Neon print out of their photos and using my Ai background removal, each photo looked like it had been taken in a Neon fantasy land.

Black or White?

Is your venue all bright and full of light?
Or does it have a dark backdrop?

Which ever it is, I can adapt my set up so it blend in with the decor so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb.
I can either leave everything bare and black, or I can break out the white covers for my stands and light tubes, and make it all white.

Thanks to Lisa and Andrew, the new Mr and Mrs Brown for asking me to DJ their wedding dance in Fort William at Fort William Golf Club. The guests were a great crowd which always makes a great night.

I was delighted that Ashlyn and Scott, the new Mr & Mrs Sutherland, chose one of my all-day packages to help them celebrate their big day.

For the daytime, I supplied my ceremony and meal music and PA. Their guest came into a selection of fine tunes, and then when it came time for the bride and her party to make their big entrance, they all walked into music specially selected by the bride. And when it came time for they happy couple to leave, they walked out to a classic - Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

For the meal I had the honour of announcing the couple in for their entrance and cake cutting, and then acted as MC for the speaches. After that was done, there I played some nice ambient music for everyone to enjoy during the meal.

In the evening I then set up inflatable photo booth for the guest to use, and did they not half use it. Over 100 prints and over 350 photos taken, it was a hot with everyone.
