Hazel Foxon Flowers

Hazel Foxon Flowers Season-led event flowers and flower workshops, inspired by English gardens, old paintings and the natural landscape Please see website for details. Thank you!

Seasonal floral design inspired by English gardens, old paintings and the natural landscape. I also run workshops at my pop up Flower School at Place House Hall, Ware. My work is led by the best locally and British-grown flowers and the unique personality of each wonderfully wonky stem. Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter or somewhere in between, I bring the outside in, curating naturalistic, garden-gathered designs for your event or workshop, full of texture, movement and scent.

Stumbled across this mass of gorgeous hollyhocks this evening which stopped me in my tracks and brightened up a very grey day. A huge and breathtaking display (this is just a corner of it), probably masterminded by the brilliant team at Ware in Bloom Official (who annoyingly I can't tag for some reason) who do such an amazing and creative job around the town.

Is this the most glamorous scarecrow in the south east? A visit to newcomer flower farm this morning to meet the fabulous Madeleine and Chris to talk British flowers and foliage and to drool over their gorgeous studio space and vase collection. And the prettiest flower field too. Love getting to know my suppliers and nurturing flowery friendships. I'm lucky to have so many knowledgeable growers on my doorstep and they're all lovely people with a great sense of humour (essential in flower farming) which keeps things fun. And dont we all need some fun in our lives ๐ŸŒฟ

A pair of beautiful tea bowls and a pile of gorgeously scented sweet peas. I went a bit Bridgerton/Featherington. After all the blue of the last month I really enjoyed the pink. But mostly I just really enjoyed the bowls.

A wedding weekend..And a bouquet of beautifully scented June flowers for A who married T at Hackney Town Hall yesterday at the end of British Flowers Week. A really lovely bride who placed her trust in me to "do the flowers" in soft shades of blue, lilac, cream and palest yellow using whatever was at its best. This week that meant gorgeous frothy sweet peas (my favourite smell!) along with nigella, cornflower, little ranunculus and lots of lovely mint. All from .

A favourite vintage Sylvac shell vase with a muddle of May flowers, including the first sweet peas. I love the variety that working with seasonal British flowers brings, the flowers inside mirroring the evolving garden or landscape outside, constantly changing month by month. No two arrangements ever the same, always something to look forward to, never a dull moment ๐ŸŒฟ

Want the smell of roses in April? Don't buy imported roses, they'll smell of nothing and you'll just be inhaling nasty chemicals. Arrmfuls of gorgeous tulips๐ŸŒท Came home from a wintry west coast of Scotland to find Spring going strong in the tulip bed, gorgeous towering stems of Salmon Impression and the first Belle Epoque. And alongside my old favourites a few different varieties I'm growing for the first time this year, so looking forward to seeing how those turn out. They all seem to be coming at once with the weekend sunshine though they might not survive this afternoon's 50mph gales and rain...(but at least they weren't all eaten so am very grateful to have any tulips at all). Love hearing that crunchy squeak as I pull them up ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ“ข NEW WEBSITE AND 2024 WORKSHOPS!๐Ÿ“ข
I'm very excited to be launching my website this weekend ๐ŸŽ‰ along with the return of my pop-up Flower School at Place House Hall.

Hazel Foxon Flowers offers seasonal, "garden-gathered" flowers for weddings, parties and other events. As you'll expect everything is led by the best locally and British-grown flowers. My designs are rooted in the natural landscape as it changes with the seasons (and not in floral foam) ๐ŸŒฟ

I'll be back at the beautiful in Ware, Hertfordshire in July, September and December for a series of workshops with bucketloads of gorgeous local flowers and seasonal foliage. And cake! You can find out more and book online at the link in my bio.

I really hope you like the website. I'm so excited (and a wee bit nervous ๐Ÿ˜‚) to be taking this next step. Huge thanks to the very talented for her fab web design skills and the techy stuff ๐Ÿ™

Link in bio - let me know what you think!
