Coming towards the end of the flowers now despite the 2 nights of frosts we've had the flowers all still look so fresh. The bouquet was MASSIVE and it includes:
Snapdragons
Dahlias - Night silence, mystery fox, perch hill
Echinops
Panicum frosted explosion
Amranthus coral fountain
Euonymus
Honeysuckle
Lemon balm
Ageratum
Zinnia

Do you see what I mean by massive?

First bouquet made, I feel the brown paper and Raffia really gives it the finishing touch.
Once more Dahlias come into flower along with Rudbekias and Zinnias the bouquets will really come together
I also love finding what I can use as a filler or just adding some greenery, often using the neighbours stuff which over hangs!

This Dahlia is called Night silence and it is such a beautiful flower to be greeted with at the cut flower patch. The petals underneath are a deeper darker colour to the colour on the front of the petals.. the first of many more Dahlias to come!!!

Sweet peas from the cut flower patch today. They smell DIVINE as soon as you walk past them, the smell just hits you. I'm sure I can't be the only one who gets reminded of a certain memory when it comes to Sweet peas or any flower. For me, the smell of Sweet peas reminds me of my local Village show - Guilsfield. Walking into the marquee without even seeing them you just know you're coming up to the Sweet peas from your nose!
What memories does Sweet peas or any other flower bring back for you?

Thought I'd do another update on the plants. I'm still very proud of how well they are growing (if a little scared as the flower patch still has 2 beds to be rotivated).
