Ok so before we get to the really busy summer period I’m just going to point out a few things that some people have had issues with.
SHIPPING
If you require your order posting to you, you MUST add a shipping option. The website does ask twice during the checkout process if you need to add shipping. You even have to check a box saying you have added it if required and you can’t complete your order if this box isn’t checked.
If you don’t add shipping then your order will be down as a collection.
BOOKING DATES
The start date you pick is the date that we POST the costumes, not the date they arrive with you. The end date is the date we receive them back.
Every hire company works differently but we do make it clear this is how we work on our website. It states this directly under where you enter your dates. We post using parcelforce 48. They will text you on the day of your delivery with a delivery time slot. Unless you opted for 1 way Royal Mail postage which is sent Royal Mail 1st class.
We have had a couple of disgruntled customers this past week because of the above, people not adding shipping then being angry when their order doesn’t turn up. Or people ordering with the Friday as their start date when their show is on the Saturday but we only ship on the Friday.
We’ve made it as clear as we can on our website but posting here too to hopefully avoid these situations.

Hi all.
So, I just wanted to do a quick post to point out to people that there’s a person behind this page. A person with a family. A young daughter who’s due to start school in just 2 weeks and a 19 week old baby.
So as I stated in my last post, I’m taking the whole of august off.
The last 4 months have been beyond stressful. I’ve received the most vile, abusive, blackmailing and threatening messages from people who are angry that I haven’t been able to reply to a message within 48 hours or their costumes are a day or so late (which is 90% of the time due to previous people returning late and the rest due to parcelforce being an awful company)
These messages have had a huge impact on me and although you feel like you’re just messaging a page, your messaging an actual person. I’m a mum and a wife, and no one should be spoken to the way I have over the past 4 months.
The majority of the customers are absolutely lovely and I thank you for all the lovely thank you card and messages and photos I’ve had from you all. It’s just a shame that the few out there that take things too far make us feel as low as possible
So just a reminder. I’m off for all of august. And this is who you are messaging or commenting malicious things about.
We’re now closed for summer.
I will only be able to reply to message/emails on weekends as I will have both children home.
We have turned off taking any orders as we need to go through all costumes to check for damages/missing items/wrong sizes returned etc.
I’ll also be selling off a lot of set of costumes so if you’re interested in what’s for sale please let me know.

So, we’re sorry to have to say but I’ll no longer be dealing with people who decide that it’s ok to be rude!
Late returns are yet again a huge issue.
The end date of your hire is the date we receive them back! Not the day you post back.
This is stated 3 times on the website AND you agree to it in the terms and conditions.
We have been laid back with late return fees but not any more.
The messages at 10pm, messages from people expecting a reply within the hour then being rude when not getting it.
I had a dance school for 17 years, I totally understand show stress but don’t take that out on us.
If you want to be rude then please don’t use us. Hire from someone else! There’s plenty of other companies out there.
ALSO please don’t expect your costumes to be brand new when you receive them and then be surprised when a sequin is missing.
You’ve paid £5 for a £40 costume!

We post this every year but it’s already started this year and we’ve not entered the busiest period yet.
The end date you chose on your order is the date we should receive the costumes back.
When people return late this has a knock on effect to the next teacher who has hired the costumes.
We need time inbetween hires to check for damage and clean the costumes too.
Also we have to deal with frustrated teachers who are missing costumes when this isn’t our mistake.
I know we’re not the only hire company who has these problems so please be aware how important it is to return your hires on time!

So this little guy arrived on 04/05/23 weighing in at 6lbs 7.
Responses to messages might take a little longer than normal as he’s taking up the majority of my time but from tomorrow I have someone who will start helping with everything.
We’ve had some messages saying you can’t place booking in April.
Well this is the reason why!
I’m due a baby 17th April so we’ve turned off some booking dates around this date.
Apologies if this clashes with your shows, we do offer 4 week hire options so you could book a bit longer if we have what you need.
