With our Family themed Village Sports Day & Village Fete running Saturday afternoon … we are extending the ‘Family Vibe’ into the evening by inviting you to bring children accompanied by their parents to attend the Saturday Party night (starting at 7pm) FOR FREE!!!!! Wristbands will still be required for everyone attending, but when ordering your tickets from the Pink Shop just say how many you need for your children and you will be given them FREE OF CHARGE!!

👑 Wow .. what an absolute smashing weekend (even with the down pours) it was a huge success, but what couldn’t have happened so smoothly was if the brilliant scouts team hadn’t once again excelled themselves with their hardworking, helpfulness and overall just amazing selves assisting everyone who needed a help in hand. Now apologies to the younger members of the team, not to get a group photo but thank you so much for everything this weekend!! 👑 picture credit to Chris the scout leader who has gone above and beyond this weekend. Now rest and put your feet up all 👑
Kewstoke, we did it again!
So we finished how we started with an absolute downpour but didn't we have some fun in between.
I didn’t manage to see the start of the dancing exhibition this morning but when I did get there they were in full flow and everyone looked as if they were having a great time, not sure they are quite ready for ‘Strictly’ just yet, but who knows, there’s magic in this village and it’s a ‘10’ from us!
I started the day with a cuppa and a slice of cake from the ladies at the Church in the Village Hall, hope you managed to get a slice too, they were delicious.
Next job involved getting all the stall holders into position, the Scouts were on hand emptying cars and ferrying a bags and parcels across the field into the marquee. This was very much appreciated by all allowing us to get everyone ready for our visitors on time. And what a variety of stalls on show, there was something for everyone. I don’t know about you, but I do love a tombola and came away with a bottle of wine and a teddy! The standard of craft items available was amazing, we have some very talented folks around the village and it’s great to see what they are able to produce. I just happened to walk past the butchers at one point and noticed some sausage rolls, well it would have been rude not to, and ended up buying a couple of each variety, suffice to say yum yum, highly recommended.
The marquee also provided plenty of drinks served by our wonderful bar staff all afternoon keeping everyone refreshed.
It was wonderful to see so many residents and visitors coming around and spending the afternoon with us despite the weather conditions and lovely to catch up with a few faces I haven’t seen for some time.
The afternoon culminated with the big raffle draw, you could feel the excitement in the air and the anticipation as the numbers were called out, especially for the big prize winners. Anyone not there to collect prizes will be contacted by phone, so don’t worry you won’t miss out.

Volunteers can come along and litter pick from the fish and chip shop at 10am. Wear your waterproofs!
