Roots North's are delighted to welcome back Blue Sun, a folk duo featuring the combined talents of Sam Coles and Graham Brotton. They are well known for their insightful songs and accomplished guitar work. Sam has a strong and soulful voice complimented by Graham with his well thought out guitar accompaniments. Well we had our first Folk n Roots festival in Whitby. As ever we had a good crop of skilled and dynamic artists at the event and ,according to feedback , we all enjoyed the venue, the ale , food etc.A good number signed up for the Peoples Climate Concert. Willows were superb Saturday night as too was Fake Thackeray on Friday.Forgive me but space restricts me so I can't mention all names but there was not a negative moment in the whole weekend. Thanks to all of you for making it happen and lets get this going for next year. Its a privilege to be part of this. Thank you Whitby,The Rifle Club, audience,Graeme on the sound desk ( amazing as ever),Chris Milner, Amanda, Marj, Jane, Liz Mummery for the workshops. xx
