Hundreds of pupils from across Wolverhampton are preparing for a spectacular musical celebration in Queen Square on Tuesday 23rd May.

Around 1100 children from 32 primary and special schools will be taking part in the free vocal workshops, which run from 11.00am-12.00pm, and 1.00pm-2.00pm, performing songs led by Paul Wilcox, vocal lead for Wolverhampton Music Education Hub. Songs will be accompanied by a Music Service live band and British Sign Language interpreters will also be present.

The DfE are changing how Music Hubs will work by creating new Multi Area Hubs. This presents an opportunity for us to build activity over a wider geographic area in partnership with other local areas. Wolverhampton Music Service has been the lead partner in the local Music Education Hub since 2012. We receive money from the Department for Education (DfE) to coordinate music education in and out of school.
