Our Traditional, Lincolnshire built Oak Barn is set at the heart of the venue and is filled with authentic, rustic charm. It was built using the Mud & Stud technique, and completed using locally sourced materials - namely our gorgeous Oak beams.
Now, it offers a versatile space for each of our couples to use however they wish - from creating a romantic ceremony setting, or intimate wedding breakfast, to later providing a spacious dancefloor for the evening celebrations to really commence! It really has it all!

With September looming and the nights drawing in, we can't help but start to get a little excited for the magic of Winter Weddings!
The Summer season has been so busy and we have celebrated so many beautiful weddings already but as an all year round venue, we always look forward to the contrast of our Winter Weddings and how different these days are. You can't beat the cosy vibe of glowing log burners and the twinkle of fairy lights brightening up those dark chilly nights!

Tomorrow marks 1 year since the incredible wedding of G & W!
These wonderful people organised the wedding of the year, all the way from Dubai and there was no better feeling for us, as a venue, than to watch their beautiful day fall perfectly into place & to see how happy they were (despite the typically British weather)! Happy Anniversary to you both 🤍

// The Old Granary //

This beautifully restored Barn is believed to be around 450 years old. It is full of character and charm due to the conservation of its original features, including the mezzanine which was originally used for wheat and barley storage and the interior walkway arches the horses and carts would have passed through. These now offer unique and breathtaking backdrops, either for an intimate romantic ceremony or to accommodate a larger guest list of up to 160 seated day guests for the wedding breakfast, the choice is yours! In the evenings, this spacious area provides a dancefloor for up to 250.

POV: You've booked your wedding venue - what next?

Once the big decision is made, you have your location and most importantly, you have your date, which all of your planning going forwards, can then begin to build around! It is helpful at this point, to start a priority list of suppliers to begin contacting next, so here's our recommendation:
1) Registrar / Church service time - this helps to build your whole day's timings to go to your other suppliers with
2) Caterers - book up very quickly and are a key part of your day
3) Photographer - also book up very quickly and it is important to find someone you will be comfortable with on the day
3) Florist / Stylist
4) Entertainment / Band

You really cannot beat a delicious, fresh wood-fired pizza, especially when they are served from the most gorgeous vintage Citroen H Van. This works perfectly in our courtyard area, where your guests can enjoy a bite to eat around the fire pit whilst they rest their dancing feet!

There are so many things to think about when starting to look around potential wedding venues. If you are looking for a bit of advice / help on what to ask, we feel that these points are some of the key things to consider:
1. Can I get legally married on-site?
2. Does it have the option of a Church either on-site or nearby?
3. Are outdoor ceremonies & outdoor dining an option and will there be an indoor back up?
4. Am I able to choose which caterers we use for the day?
5. Is there flexibility in terms of how I use the space and how we choose to set it up?
6. Where is the venue located and will there be traffic noise?
7. Are we able to have a DJ / Band for the evening?
