COVID. Yes it harder than a lot of people expected. If I am honest it made me fall off the wagon and out of touch with photography. We all felt the pinch but when clients are not paying you what they owe it makes it harder to do the job you love. Well that was then and this is now.

I haven't posted her for a while. lots of stuff is unfolding for me at the moment. My website is now undergoing a HUUUUGE makeover and will most likely be out of action this week. I thought I would do a post as I haven't posted on here for a while. Where do I start.

Covid!

Yes it hit us all. I have done my best to keep my photography business going and it still is. Just recently it is starting to show signs of getting back to some sort of normality and for me this is a huge relief.

Some of my clients are still with me, a few are new and some have disappeared or got a lot less work on, in turn meaning I get less bookings from them.

In the fight to survive I turned my hand a different trade altogether and I now run them both side by side. This takes a lot of the pressure off me, and in turn I am hoping that I can get back to enjoying photography.

So to implement this I have had to make a few changes. My main one being that I have decided to dismantle the home studio. With the current climate of Covid it hasn't been used very much and I need the space. It also means that I can have a good sort out of my gear.

Because of this I will still be available for newborn and portrait work but it would need to be at a seperate location or your own house or in my garden (weather dependant) as I will be keeping my portable studio equipment.

The need for me to write this post was I wanted to keep everyone updated. I didn't want you to think that I had disappeared cause that simply isn't true. I am just making a few changes so that I can survive :)

Yesterday saw me out shooting the Wintercross Ultra. The weather was horrible. Cold and very very wet. The runners were amazing and dispite the weather there was lots of smiles and great vibes.

❤️❤️❤️ A few weeks ago I was hired to photograph a wedding. As with a lot or my clients I find I become good friends with them. I allways do my up most for them and help them to enjoy thier special day.

Tonight however I am left speechless. I was asked to visit the client early. I was a little bit panicky as it's an unusual request. I certainly wasn't expecting this.

Not only did I receive one of the nicest worded cards I've ever recieved but I also got a canvas of one of the photos I took in the magic mirror without them knowing lol. I am so stoked right now it really has touched me.

So a huge thank you to you both

This weekend saw the last weekend for the Worthing Lions festival. I popped down there for both weekends. They luckily dodged the bad weather we are having this week. Some great entertainment was available to all. A huge thankyou to all the Lions for putting in a sterling effort across both weekends.

I covered an event for The Wellderness it was a truly fantastic event. I provided a small Photography talk and show a lot people how to get more potential and control from Thier phone cameras. I loved it.

The night had a ti chi class and a cooking class too. All outdoors in the wild. Campfires and lots of fun. Finished with a fantastic fire display by poi passion.

To top it off 3 of my images made it to the front page of Inside Worthing .so keep your eyes peeled for this dropping through your door :D

I can't wait for the next event. Hopefully they will have me back ☺️

First Covid19 Wedding booking done today.
Had an amazing day and I can't wait to get into the pictures :) Such a beautiful location. Feels good to be back shooting weddings too. Not long before the next one :D

Rhinefield House Hotel was very accomodating. I even had them use 3 Staff to stop a water fountain for me just so I could get a photo I wanted. Thank you to all the staff that helped :D

Covid 19 Update :

It has been a while since I posted on here. I thought I would update everyone. This last year has been a very hard year. 2 Years ago I took the plunge to go full time in a profession that I truly love.

Being a newly established company the government has at the least been a little bit unhelpful. Yes, I got some help but not much. If I am honest I survived because of the loving people around me. I feel for a lot of businesses that won't make it.

So, if you have a booking with me, please do not worry if I have been quiet I have just been getting used to the way things around my business have changed.

I am also glad to say that hopefully, we are at the end of the tunnel and with a bit of luck, things will get back to normal. In light of this, I noticed that my page is nearly at the magic 1000 likes number. So what best way to celebrate this than to give away a free photoshoot to one of the likers once I reach 1000 likes.

You don't have to do anything. All I ask is that you like this page and share this post. If you already like the page then just share this post.

I will use a random number generator to give me a number and I will count down the list of all likers and let the winner know.

The photoshoot will be for any kind of photography for themselves. This can be a newborn shoot, portrait photos, family photos, Studio photos even wedding photos so long as it is for the person who won.
