Our first ever blog post is live!
Nicola & Adam celebrated their day in style with us back on the 29th March 2023! Nicola, who is Senior Cabin Crew at jet2.com and Adam, Lead Welder for a lifting company in Leeds, met on an online dating app called Bumble back in 2018 and got engaged at the beautiful Minack Theatre in Cornwall shortly after. We began life as a venue in 2018 after hosting out daughters wedding. We couldnโt find a Yorkshire venue that ticked all the boxes. We wanted exclusive use and a venue dedicated to celebrations, somewhere that offered the amenities and services of a high end hotel but was able to offer flexibility. We didnโt want to dress a barn or have to bring in suppliers for bar services or food and we also wanted to be in a countryside setting somewhere that felt like a home from home.
This is exactly what we created.
Welcome to Bunny Hill a rural exclusive wedding and events venue situated between York and Hull. A former grain barn has been renovated and given a modern twist, with a high end feel yet retaining many original features. Reclaimed timber and dressed brick give an industrial luxe feel to this large stunning barn. The venue really is a โhidden gemโ accessed via a leafy country lane, the 12 acre site is backed by woodland and offers uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire Wolds whilst still offering good access to transport links.
The venue provides generous space for weddings of up to 200 people for a formal sit down meal or 350 for a more casual celebration. Choose to marry in the intimate lounge, the beautiful garden room or outside beneath the wedding arbour. The light and airy main hall has picture windows with panoramic views and all you will need to get that party started, including a large raised stage area, surround sound system, PA system and LED dance floor. The mezzanine lounge bar with leather booths, grand piano and cocktail bar is the perfect place to relax. With luxurious cloak rooms and friendly professional staff, Bunny Hill really does have it all.
Your wedding breakfast will be taken care of by our amazing team from the Hog and Apple Food Co. Resident at Bunny Hill they are always on hand, whether you need a quick chat with chef or sampling a tasting menu. Their years of experience will guide you through the process in a relaxed and fun way.
Bunny Hill also has onsite accommodation for your guests in 5 luxury country inspired rooms created from the former stables and courtyard. We also have a glamping field for those wishing to create a festival feel or simply provide additional guest accommodation. The stunning bridal suite is yours for the duration of your stay, it has a private garden with whirlpool bath and boasts every luxury including a copper roll top bath in the bedroom, four poster bed and a breakfast balcony with far reaching views.
Nothing has been overlooked in our pursuit for wedding perfection, we pride ourselves on creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. From the moment you arrive we will take care of your every need and offer the highest level of service to impress your guests, leaving you with a happy heart and the fondest of memories.
