【 #鱷魚命名比賽】鱷魚名字🐊由你話事😎！
鱷魚命名比賽嚟到最後階段❤️🔥！一月初嘅時候，公園就向大家為鱷魚徵求一個有意義嘅中英文名。大家嘅反應非常熱烈，超過一萬一千名參加者參與比賽，並由全港最大規模學生保育團隊「海洋公園海馬同學會」成員喺當中篩選出最後五強啦😆！鱷魚名字嘅最終決定權，就掌握係你哋手中🤩！
到底呢條嚟自八鄉蓮花地嘅鱷魚叫咩名好呢？而家就由大家投票決定啦🥸！由即日起至2024年3月12日中午12時，點擊以下指定嘅「Reactions」選出你認為最適合佢嘅名！票數最多嘅候選名字，就會成為鱷魚嘅名💫！
另外，最高票數嘅「 Reactions 」嘅參加者將會獲得 1 次抽獎機會，電腦系統將隨機抽出20名得獎者。得獎者將會獲得香港海洋公園標準入場成人門票2張（總值港幣$996）。
抽獎結果將於 2024 年 3 月 14 日於香港海洋公園Facebook 專頁公佈，及於 2024 年 3 月 15 日香港出版嘅《星島日報》及《英文虎報》內公佈。

1️⃣ 保保 Bo Bo (按讚好 Like) ── 「保保」為「寶寶」諧音，「保」字可以提醒大家保護生態平衡。而英文名Bo Bo 係中文音譯，更有「Be Original」嘅意味，呼應引入非原生物種會對原生生物多樣性帶來威脅嘅意思。
2️⃣ 蓮融 Harmony (按心心 Love) ── 人同動物應該共融相處，而且蓮蓉亦係傳統美食，故此合二為一。
3️⃣ 希希 Hope (按哈哈 Haha) ── 「希希」代表對持續支持動物保育嘅希望，象徵人同自然共存，同埋保護生態環境嘅重要性。
4️⃣ 糖蓮子 Lotus (按加油 Care) ── 因為鱷魚喺八鄉蓮花地被發現，所以中文名就包括蓮花地嘅「蓮」字，英文名又叫Lotus。而「糖」字係比喻鱷魚嘅進駐係一件令人開心嘅事。
5️⃣ 百香果 Passion (按嘩 Wow) ── 鱷魚嚟自八鄉，所以取其譯音「百」；而百香果又名熱情果，代表鱷魚熱情、活躍嘅表現。而Passion 亦係passion fruit嘅簡稱。

The “Ocean Park’s New Member Naming Challenge” has reached its final stage ❤️🔥! At the beginning of January, the Park asked everyone to suggest a meaningful name in both Chinese and English for the crocodile. The response was overwhelming with more than 11,000 participants taking part in the competition. Ocean Park Seahorse Rangers, the largest student-oriented conservation group in Hong Kong, has now narrowed it down to the final five names😆! The ultimate decision for the crocodile's name is now in your hands 🤩!
So, what should we name the crocodile from Lin Fa Tei, Pat Heung? It's time for you to vote 🥸! From now until 12:00 PM on 12 March 2024, click on the designated "Reactions" below to select the name you think suits it best! The name with the most votes will become the crocodile's name 💫!
Additionally, participants who vote the highest number of "Reactions" will have a chance to enter a lucky draw. The computer system will randomly selects 20 winners. Each winner will receive two General Adult Admission Tickets to Ocean Park Hong Kong (total value at HK$996).
The lucky draw results will be announced on the Park page on 14 March 2024, and published in the Hong Kong newspapers "Sing Tao Daily" and "The Standard" on 15 March 2024.

2️⃣ Harmony 蓮融 (Love) ── The name Harmony captures the idea of peaceful coexistence between humans and animals. Additionally, lotus seed paste, a beloved traditional delicacy in Hong Kong, adds a touch of cultural significance that locals truly appreciate.
3️⃣ Hope 希希 (Haha) ── Hope symbolises the ongoing support for animal conservation and optimism for the future of Hong Kong. It embodies the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature, emphasising the significance of protecting the ecological environment.
4️⃣ Lotus 糖蓮子 (Care) ── The Chinese name of the crocodile incorporates the character "蓮" (lotus) to pay homage to its discovery in the lotus field in Pat Heung. The English name, Lotus, carries the same meaningful essence. Additionally, to signify the joy the crocodile's presence, the character "糖" (candy) was added at the beginning of the Chinese name.
5️⃣ Passion 百香果 (Wow) ── The crocodile was discovered in Pat Heung, a name that bears resemblance to the Cantonese term for passion fruit. This connection emphasises the energetic nature of the crocodile, captured by the word "Passion". It also serves as a shortened form of “passion fruit”.
