FitTotz and FitKidz drop in class 🎊
Every Saturday morning from 11am to 12pm 😊

Our FitTotz and FitKidz class combined to bring you a taste of summer camp every Saturday morning. This class will be split into two groups, one for preschool aged children from 2.5 to 5 years and the other for children aged 6 to 12. Our signature FitKidz classes are designed to suit the needs and abilities of primary school aged children. The classes are high energy fundamental movement skills based. We have designed a unique programme that allows children to move more confidently and competently while incorporating as many fundamental movement skills as possible ( running, jumping, catching, throwing, skipping, coordination, balance, agility and fine motor skills just to name a few!) Each week the coach uses various activities from our 6 core activities- Fun fitness games, gymnastics, dance, try-a-sport, mindfulness and wellbeing, and competitive and co operative games. Our unique design for our preschool aged children is a mixture of high energy games, locomotor movement skills, foundation for field sports (GAA, soccer, rugby, etc.), dancercise, fundamental gymnastic movements along with social elements of turn taking, teamwork and storytelling.

FITTOTZ GAA ALL STARS
Saturday morning 10am-11am FitKidz Studio

This class is an introduction to gaelic games aimed at preschool aged and junior and senior infants. The class will be a mixture of hurling and football. The class promotes learning the games at a childs pace while having fun and developing and nurturing the love of gaelic games. As a GAA nursery coach and coach educator I see how many children can get turned off a sport by starting them at club training too early. It can also be a headache for coaches with limited coaching time and mixed age groups. Most clubs feel their nursery programmes are ineffective and often seen as a babysitting service. We hope to turn that around by developing a child centered approach to the games and activities. This is also a bonus for clubs as when the children finish the All Stars programme they will be more familiar with turn taking, social skills involved in training and will have a solid foundation of the age appropriate skills.

BEGINNERS GYMNASTICS CLASS THURSDAY at 4.30pm.
Our FitKidz Beginner Gymnastics class is a class for complete beginners to gymnastics. Class is suitable for children aged 5+. Children are thought all floor based gymnastics and beam balance exercises. Children will also get an introduction to sequencing and competition routines. We aim to keep class sizes small to ensure each child receives enough attention and feedback to progress. We work on areas such as agility, balance and co ordination along with arm, leg and core strength.

We are super excited for our first kids yoga classes today 😍

**Storytime yoga and mindfulness for preschool aged children from 2.5 to 5 years. This class is aimed at preschoolers and junior infants. We take the children through yoga and strengthening movements through a world of storytelling and imaginative games. We also promote healthy bodies and peaceful minds through a variety of mindful art, breathing techniques and fun information sessions.

**Yoga and mindfulness for primary school aged children from 5 to 10 years. Children are taken through a yoga journey each week with the help of stories, music and games. Children will be shown strengthening techniques that aid other activities such as gymnastics, irish dancing and sports. There will also be a range of mindfulness and breathing techniques at each class which is proven to be very helpful to anxious children or children with additional needs. Classes will also include the peaceful minds art templates which can can be done during the class if children choose to.

The Playground 50/50 draw takes place every week and envolopes can be found in various locations throughout the town. Every little bit helps towards the running costs and all the upgrades that have been done over the past number of months. Well done to all the committee members who have worked so hard on the upkeep of this fantastic local facility 😍😍

The time is nearly here for FitKidz Summer camps to return 🥳
This years line up is better then ever! We have a wide range of activities to keep children of all ages busy, from high energy games, gymnastics and sports to yoga, mindfullness, art and theatre there is something for everyone 💃🏃‍♀️🧘‍♀️

We have two groups this year, children aged 2.5 to 5 years and children aged 6 to 12. Both groups have limited availability ☀️

Camps run every Wed-Fri 10am to 2pm during July and August 🥰

Our Saturday evening KidzClub will also run every week for July and August from 7pm-9pm along with our FitTotz All Star GAA Programme and weekly Gymnastics and Art workshops 😀

We were delighted to begin our new schools programme in Moveen NS yesterday with the Junior and Senior Infants 🥳 We had to much fun and cant wait for next week 😊 we still have very limited schools available for the programme starting May 2nd ❤️

Enjoy some Easter wind down time while the kids have a ball at KidzClub. Our always popular KidzClub makes a return Friday and Saturday of the Easter bank holiday weekend from 7pm to 9pm. The drop and go service makes it easy for parents to go for dinner and drinks or grab a takeaway and have a walk on the beach. We will be keeping the little ones busy with Easter themed art, lots of fun games, gymnastics, sports and of course a mini disco 😍 We will also have some yummy Easter treats and a treasure hunt. Places are limited so booking online is highly recommended to secure your place 🥰

ST.PATRICKS DAY PARADE
The team at FitKidz have been working hard preparing for the Kilkee St.Patricks Day Parade. Keeping with this years theme of communities in action we feel all children should get the oppertunity to take part in the parade, so whether your a class member or not we would love any child who is not already in a group and would like to take part to join us 💞💞
We will have our FitKidz classes on show as well as Kilkees first ever Gymnastics and Majorettes groups on display 🤩

We are delighted to announce lots of new childrens classes for this coming term 👌 with FitKidz, Gymnastics, Ballet and Majorettes classes there is something for everyone 😍
Our fantastic Gymnastics coach Niamh is returning with new FitTotz and beginners classes along with the improvers class that ran last term. We had amazing feedback from Niamhs gymnastics classes and are delighted to be able to offer more. Niamh has been working tirelessly on her gymnastics coach training and is also our deputy manager in the studio 🥳
We also are delighted to have Shannon Ryan on board since September, some of you may have met Shannon at our birthday parties. Shannon has been involved with the performance arts on stage and behind the scenes from a young age. As a child, performed and competed as a Majorette in Dublin, She later joined the Laois Dance Academy where she trained and performed with the Laois Youth Dance Ensemble. Shannon received perfect marks on her entrance exam to the Cork School of Music and spent a year receiving extensive voice and movement training. She then moved onto Limerick where she recently graduated from the BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies (BACATS) programme in Mary Immaculate College. Shannon will be teaching our new Baby Ballet and Majorettes classes and she is very excited to become part of our team. ❤️
The amazing Lauren, our FitKidz and FitTotz coach will also be returning this year and will hopefully be bringing FitKidz to multiple new locations in the coming months. Lauren has been amazing to all the children in both our summer camps and classes 🥳
We would also like to thank for coming on board with amazing arts and crafts for our Halloween camp and always being on hand when we need her. Aoife is a brilliant local crafter and we hope to have her return to our Easter and Summer camps this year, along with some classes of her own hopefully 😍

FitKidz returns today 🥳 FitTotz 3.30pm-4.15pm ages 2-5 and FitKidz 6+ 4.30pm-5.30pm 💪 an ideal way to burn off some excess Christmas energy with our high energy games and happy parents can get an hours peace and quiet 😂😂

We just want to say a massive thank you to all the children and parents who visited Santas Grotto Kilkee over the past two weekends 🤩 We were delighted to be able to run the event and we really appreciate everyone who booked with us and gave us amazing feedback 🎅 Raffle tickets for our raffle in aid of the West Clare Cancer Center will be available to purchase in the studio all this week with the draw taking place next Sunday 🎅

As always we aim to be as inclusive as possible, we have decided to keep sensory friendly Santa Visit appointments for this Sunday 🎅 all flashing lights will be set to still and dimmed, the music will be very low and children are welcome to enjoy their Santa visit however they like with as much or as little interection as they want. Some of our Halloween camp fun 🧟‍♂️
The children had the best time playing halloween games, dancing, doing gymnastics and burning off lots of energy. They all had an amazing time doing the arts and crafts workshops with Ó Mo Chroí Crafts, a massive thanks to Aoife for running this with them and our coaches for doing a brilliant job as always ❤️

Visit Santa by the sea in Kilkee this Christmas 🎅🎅

Due to the rising costs of visiting Santa this year, we decided to invite Santa to our FitKidz Studio this December for just €9 per child. We will have a visit special winter wonderland in Ballalley Lane with a mini christmas market and Santas Grotto.
Each child recieves a christmas goody bag with gifts and a nice list certificate, each family will also recieve a digital family photo. There will be lots of christmas craft items and gifts available to purchase on the day.
Santa will be visiting on Sunday 4th and Sunday 11th of December from 12.30pm-8.30pm 🎅
Please note online booking is essential as spaces are limited and as we have had a lot of interest already, we are sure these events will book out fast ❤️

Our plans address parental/carer concerns and the findings from the inital report and work on areas such as strength, balance, coordination, agility, injury prevention, cardiovascular health and fundamental movements. We offer these services at a low cost, some of which can be claimed back on your health insurance!
