We should about now be kicking off our Music Trail for Ché de Bheatha festival 2020 .

Unfortunately, like so many events throughout the world, this year’s celebration needs to pause while we do our best to keep well and safe ....

We miss you all and look forward with hope and excitement to our next celebration ....

....and so it’s time to say adios to Ché 2019 ...we want to send a huge warm thank you to all the super talent artists who played music , danced , told stories and sang, in sunshine and rain all weekend.
Thanks also to Jackie Furlong Burke and her mighty team of very busy Ché Elves for making such beautiful colorful flowers, head dresses and necklaces for everyone , you were amazing , but of course it’s all the wonderful people who visit and live in our town that make it all possible by supporting , participating and sharing the fun in our very special little corner of the world .

Ché 19 continues today with a screening of a film documentary charting the life of Johnny “Dynamite” 0 Brien , from New York to Cavan and Colombia and finally to Cuba . ..Film maker Charlie O Brien will introduce the documentary and will host a discussion afterwards .
All takes place today at Kilkee’s brand new Elliot Centre which is located over Cairde Beag preschool , behind the Community centre.

This events will take place at 2pm with Free Admission .

“A Captain Unafraid” will be screened as part of this year’s Ché de Bheatha festival at 2pm Sat 28th . It will take place at Kilkee’s new Elliot Centre which is located overhead Cairde Beag Pre -School , beside The Community Centre . A questions and answer discussion with film maker Charles O Brien will follow the 45 min documentary . All welcome.

Free Admission .

So here are the confirmed dates for this years Che festival, we are still working though the music and activities line up...we should have them in the next 4 weeks.
But, as usual, it’s gonna be one hell of a weekend..🙂

It’s a bright Sunny Ché Sunday in beautiful Kilkee , still echoes of music ,dancing, laughter and fun all over town ! What a fab Saturday!! ,We had a ball ....

The festival fun continues today on O Curry Street at 3pm with The Pantry’s homemade “Tapas and Tea” event , while across the road at O Mara’s the wonderful Los Paddys de Los Pampas will be keeping the Latin Spirit alive ..

Later at The Greyhound legends Scullion take to the stage for a greatly anticipated return concert (doors7pm) and afterwards swinging the musical pendulum a little, Serious Mischief wrap this town party up with Reggae ,Ska and Roots till the end ..

Ché Day Two !! Hope everybody is enjoying the vibe !

Loads of things going on all day and night around the town. The weather is even set to improve ( promise )😊

Places available on the Percussion Workshop at 3pm , just show up and register with Angel at Stella’s before 3pm to get drumming .( e10)

Cocktail Demo and Tasting ...
One of Ireland’s leading mixologists Orlando from Event Bars Irl. will be demonstrating how to make three classic rum cocktails at The Greyhound at 5pm ...places are limited, tickets e15 and include three classic rum cocktails for each person!! Wahoo !!!
Starts at 5pm at the Greyhound ..

The Ché Music Trail gets going from 4pm all over town , get yourselves out on the trail, musicians , bands and singers from around the world will be performing all over town until late into the night, all free , super talented and most important super fun ..
