Magica has won the WPJ Masterpiece GOLD award with this photo 📸

When I saw this one in camera, I knew this one has got something.
How lucky has one got to be to get this frame of 2 brothers smiling with two sisters bidding goodbye, all within a single frame?

Yet, when we shoot weddings, we get lucky thousands of times at the rate of 0.004 seconds per moment (that's 1/250 shutter speed for the nerds)

This photo is a stunning example of what’s possible when skill, talent and luck, all come together just right.

Even a 1 mm movement here or there would've ruined this frame

SO many things I'm proud of on this one:

1. The alternate colors (black & white) as your eyes go from left to right in the frame
2. Only the smiles in the outer frame and only the feelings in the inner frame
3. The small foreground element in the bottom left
4. The ONLY hand that's visible is of the bride's with the ring 😄
5. A one nanosecond delay in pressing the shutter would've meant the symmetry was ruined, or the hug would've been less tight or the light was shifted.

Today, even after 10 years in biz, we're terrified on every new project. We don't know what we'll get, how we'll go about finding a method in madness. But we are trusted for exactly that.

We've been lucky to get frames like these very often, but I'm also proud of the fact that we care about all the details that most people wouldn't even notice. It's these little things that make a photo inexplicably Timeless.
