Arvindji is a Thai food catering service in New Delhi, India, a brand owned by Phra Ram Catering Ser We charge by the dish, not per head.

Our service was created to fill the need for snacks and food when you have a party at home, with minimal hassle on your part. We work at a 1 day notice for a minimum of 10 people and do not have a fixed format menu. Most of the stuff required for a party is already available at home - crockery, service, bar items, beverages etc. - we fill the gap for food. We are specialized in Thai food but we do

Our guru, Chef Jon, demonstrates to you how to make Thai chicken with bamboo shoots and basil.
This video was shortened by about 3 minutes to make it less boring to watch. It's less than 4 minutes long.
Thailand uses 2 types of basil - Kaprao or hot basil, and Horapha or sweet basil. Horapha has been used here but you can use any type.
Midway through the video Jon adds some dehydrated stock powder from a packet. You can use a crumbled up soup cube instead. Also she adds some soy sauce and a little fish sauce but you can use any one you like. Using only soy sauce will make the dish look darker. Also at the end she adds some more oyster sauce to adjust the salt level.
This dish was not very spicy because the chillies were fried with the garlic.

A voice from the past... A review from 20 years ago, and our menu from those days. 😃
We did not have the name 'Arvindji' - we didn't have a website - but the phone number was the same. There were no delivery vans and there were 4 employees. 3 of them are still with us!

Arvindji.com is not a descriptive or a typical name for a catering service, so read on to know how this happened.
In January 2000, when we started our work, we searched for a name for ourselves and came up with 'Art of Curry'.
Of course no one had heard of our new venture and we had no website back then. In those days there were only two of us, Prakash the chef, and Arvind who answered the phone and took orders. Our reputation spread solely by reference - people who may have eaten our food at a friends house, and then they asked the host for a phone number.
Every time a call came from a customer it started with - Aap Arvindji bol rahe hain? 😄
So three years later, in 2003, when our website was launched the logical name for it was Arvindji.com - no one was aware of any other name! As we grew this became the brand name.
And there's the story of our name - it's what you called us and it's how you know us.🙂

Ladies and Gen'men,
When you order food from us a cook comes to you. Our boys are the face of Arvindji.com.
Meet some of us who you don't usually see because we hide behind the scenes.
On the left is Prakash, our MD. He has cooked Thai food for 30 years, first at Sukhothai restaurant, and with us from the first day we started to serve you in January 2000.
On the right is Arjun, the voice on the phone. He takes your orders, deals with the market and the day to day administration. He has been with us for 21 years and is also a fully trained cook.
In the middle is Arvind. He posts on this page and lends moral support now and then. Any problems that the others can't deal with land on his head! 😅
In our next Facebook post I will tell you how this business came to be called Arvindji.com, a funny story...
