#BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice, the 36-years-in-the-waiting sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 cult horror-comedy hit, is back and had its world premiere as the opening movie of the 2024 #VeniceFilmFestival.
Following the screening, a spectacular gala was held to celebrate the film, attended by the director, Tim Burton, along with the stellar cast: Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe.
The event was a true homage to the darkly whimsical world of Beetlejuice: an imposing entrance portal faithfully recreating iconic set elements from the film immersed guests immediately into the fantastical universe of Beetlejuice. This year, the universal theme of #peace illuminates the streets of the Capital during the festive season. The luminous carpet, spanning from Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Popolo, measures an impressive 1,400 meters and is composed of 18 strands of warm white LED lights. The decoration boasts a total of 300,000 light points, interspersed with the word "Peace" translated into various languages, adorned with luminous stars, and featuring the Acea logo.
But the magic doesn't end at Piazza del Popolo! Acea wanted to spread the glow of hope throughout all 14 municipalities of Rome, illuminating Christmas trees to create a unified sense of joy across the entire territory.
