EDC LAS VEGAS WILL TAKE PLACE IN MAY

Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in May, according to Insomniac Events promoter Pasquale Rotella

In the last update posted late Thursday (April 8), Rotella told fans to "book their flights, hotels and shuttles" for the originally scheduled dates of May 21-23.

💬 "We are moving forward as planned & will be working closely with local & state officials to make the show as safe as possible [...] You can expect the full EDC experience with no details spared, from the festival grounds to the music, stages, art, performers, artists & fireworks!"

Details on safety protocols and the full lineup haven't been announced yet but will be soon available.
Those unable to attend this year's EDC will be able to transfer their ticket for the 2022 show.

WILL.I.AM UNVEILS HIGH-TECH BLUETOOTH MASK

The XupermasK – is a joint collaboration between will.i.am , Honeywell and designer Jose Fernandez, who created Elon Musk’s SpaceX suits.

In addition to Bluetooth connectivity, the “smart mask” will feature dual three-speed fans, a HEPA filtration system, LED lights, noise-cancelling headphones and a rechargeable seven-hour battery.
It’s also capable of playing music and taking phone calls, and has a decidedly futuristic look.

💬 "We are living in sci-fi times [...] I wanted to make a mask to fit the era that we’re in" said Will.I.am

The Xupermask now available, sold direct-to-consumer via will.I.am website.

RÜFÜS DU SOL 10TH RADIO EPISODE

It has been nearly a year since the launch of RÜFÜS DU SOL 's Rose Ave Radio series,
The musical trio have now delivered a special 10th-anniversary episode that features a guest mix from Monolink

The episode dives through unreleased tracks from some newer names in dance music, but stays true to RÜFÜS’ downtempo and progressive sounds.

Meanwhile, fans patiently wait for the impending fourth full-length LP, named one of Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated albums of 2021.

ERIC PRYDZ MOVES HOLO SHOWS TO 2022

Due to logistical circumstances, Eric Prydz have decided to move both Tomorrowland and Creamfields Holosphere shows to 2022.
The reason is that the two events are scheduled to take place on the same dates.

Creamfields released the following statement:
💬 "We appreciate some fans will be disappointed, as we are, but rest assured we will deliver an equally special live performance with Eric to blow your minds!"

BURNING MAN CHANGES THEME

The previously announced theme ‘Terra Incógnita‘ is a Latin term which translates to "Unknown Land".
The term was commonly used during the 15th century to describe regions that hadn't been mapped or documented, but European colonizers also used it for conquest even in cases where lands were inhabited.

💬 "When we learned that the phrase has a colonial history, and it reflected back some of our own implicit biases and default perspectives, we retitled it" said Burning Man Project 's organisers

The festival has been renamed to ‘The Great Unknown‘, that is so far the only confirmed information about it.

REDROCKS APPROVED TO REOPEN WITH REDUCED CAPACITY

Announcing the news via Twitter, the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre team confirmed that the venue had recieved the approval to reopen with a crowd capacity of 2,500.

Though it has not yet specified the date that the location will formally reopen, venue personnel confirmed that they would be “welcoming back” attendees for “a fantastic 80th anniversary summer,” with further announcements “soon” to come.
The first event in Red Rocks’ 2021 calendar is currently scheduled for April 23.

After celebrating the 1000th episode of the A State Of Trance show in January this year, Armada Music leader Armin van Buuren has announced "the biggest trance pub quiz ever".

The ASOT 1000 pub quiz will take place

DAY OF THE DEADMAU5 2021

While last year deadmau5 had to celebrate his ‘Day of the deadmau5’ event via drive-in concert, in 2021 the event will be able to be held in-person.

The 3-day and 3-night takeover will take place:

It will include a live deadmau5 show and an Unplugged set as well as a Testpilot set.

AMSTERDAM DANCE EVENT CONFIRMED FOR 2021

Amsterdam Dance Event has announced that the 25th edition of the event will take place in Amsterdam from the 13th to the 17th October 2021.

The ADE team is thrilled to kick off the road to the ADE Festival 2021 with a varied lineup of organizers announcing their first shows, including Awakenings, DGTL, Dockyard, Elrow, Into the Woods, Loveland and many more...

The five-day event will attract attendees from over 145 countries and will include every avenue of dance music culture for five epic days of electronic dance music.

THE FIRST DANCE-POWERED APP TO SAVE CLUBS

The famous beer brand Desperados is launching the world’s first dance-powered app to help support Europe’s nightlife industry.

The app is called 'Rave to save' and will stream 8 virtual parties where users' dance moves at home will be turned into cash for clubs across Europe.

With a heavy heart, Tomorrowland released that they will not be returning in 2021 due to the pandemic. However, they will be celebrating this year’s event with a two-and-a-half-hour-long show featuring an all-French lineup.

Following the news of Daft Punk 's shocking split, the Kaleidoscope Orchestra has announced a special "Candlelight" performance, where they will play classical renditions of Daft Punk's biggest hits.

GLASTONBURY MAY OPEN FOR A CONCERT IN SEPTEMBER

Earlier this year, the organisers of Glastonbury Festivals had to cancel the festival, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Following the announcement however, co-organiser Michael Eavis mentioned that they would try to arrange a smaller event in September and now, Emily Eavis uses Instagram to announce that this might actually come true!

They are, in fact, applying for a licence for a two-night concert and another to open the Worthy Farm as a campsite this September.

💬 Eavis said: "Of course, we've no idea yet whether we'll able to do that, but we wanted to get the application in to be in with a chance. Unlikely we'll have any news for a couple of months - but will let you know right here when we do."

elrow has begun the search for new talent in djing and producing, to become part of the family.

Two lucky entrants will join its roster for an entire year, alongside Toni Varga, Marc Maya, Tini Gessler, De La Swing and Viviana Casanova.

'BACK TO LIVE' FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE LAST WEEKEND

The Back To Live festival was a pilot test, to find out if and how large-scale events can take place despite the pandemic.

The event took place last Saturday in Biddinghuizen, in the Netherlands, with government approval.

It's been a music festival like any other: more than a thousand people dancing, not keeping their distance, nor wearing masks.

Ravers had their temperatures taken at the entrance to the festival, and had to show a negative PCR test result. Also, they all got a sensor to wear around their necks tracking their movements.

The team behind Costa del Tottenham is launching a brand new open-air venue in Canning Town: Ernie's Yard

Launched as the underground arm of Insomniac, Factory 93 will focus mostly on underground sounds from house and techno.

FOLAMOUR ANNOUNCES 'THIS JOURNEY' ALBUM

Following on from the release of "Just Want Happiness" earlier this year, the french dj Folamour is back with The Journey Album, which will be released in the second half of June.

💬 Folamour said: “I composed this album in metropolises and no man's land, inspired by moments that marked me, changed me" [...] "To express all these emotions, I deeply changed my way of composing, putting aside samples and computers and concentrating on writing texts, recording strings and brass, drums, voice too, in order to be as close as possible to the moment I wanted to represent."

Tomorrowland is making official what has been rumored for the past weeks: it has just announced that the 2021 edition will indeed take place, but will shift back to the end of August.

📆 Weekend 2 will be September 3, 4, and 5

💬 A statement from the festival says "we want to remain positive and hopeful for an unforgettable end to the summer of 2021,” but also “realise that there is a chance that the 16th edition of Tomorrowland will take place in 2022.”

An event space transformed from an old car park, Square One is located in the heart of Manchester, a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly Station.
