DURIAN & KOPI FEST 2023 GETS GREEN SIGNAL FROM MAFFI FOR A DELECTABLE CELEBRATION IN KENINGAU

Kota Kinabalu, 1 August 2023 – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry (MAFFI) has given the green light to the eagerly anticipated Durian & Kopi Fest 2023, scheduled to take place in Padang Bandaran Keningau on September 9 and 10, 2023. This flavourful extravaganza promises to captivate taste buds with the unique blend of durian and coffee, offering a celebration of two beloved Malaysian delights in one exciting event.

Organised by Fazbuzz Events & Media and co-organised with MaSDa (Persatuan Pengusaha Durian Dan Buah-Buahan Tropika Sabah also known as the Sabah Durian And Tropical Fruit Planters Association], the festival is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Agrotourism hub of Tenom, Keningau, and Tambunan where attendees will find themselves immersed in a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

"We are excited to welcome visitors to the Durian & Kopi Fest 2023, where more than 60 booths will unite flavours and cultures in a grand celebration. We invite everyone to savour the diverse tastes of durian and kopi, support local agri-businesses, and experience the richness of Sabah's culture.

Having received the approval from MAFFI and supported by Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Jeffrey G. Kitingan, Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Sabah cm Member of Parliament P180 Keningau as well as Tourism Malaysia, this festival aims to highlight the culinary treasures of Sabah and create a unique experience for both locals and tourists. With MaSDa's invaluable support, we are confident that the event will be a resounding success." said Fazura Azima Ag Sha, Event Director of Fazbuzz Events & Media.

Alongside the booths, the festival will feature durian and coffee tastings from various vendors, showcasing a diverse selection of durian cultivars and coffee blends. Apart from savouring these delectable treats, attendees can also participate in engaging activities, cultural performances, traditional music, competitions, and educational workshops that shed light on the cultivation and production processes of these iconic products allowing local visitors and tourists to delve deeper into the rich heritage of the Sabah interior regions. This fusion of flavours and cultures will create a unique and unforgettable experience for everyone.
