After prepping and pre-frying each ingredients, this is the most therapeutic part for me - the assembling and wrapping part.

Been receiving many positive reviews and I’m just happy to know that you’re enjoying this traditional delicacy.

I’m touched that it reminded a customer of her grandma’s bakchang which she once proclaimed that she can’t find it elsewhere.

I’m recreating the taste of bakchang that my grandma used to make for me, too, as it brings back many fond memories.

Hot and sour pork trotter.

This isn’t the usual vinegar pork trotter (chu geok cho). It’s made using an entirely different recipe.

Goes very well with rice!

Made for our dinner tonight and also for some customers. What I feed my family is the same as what I’m feeding yours.

My homemade hokkien bak Chang.

They are wrapped Cantonese style to put more fillings inside.

Each ingredient is pan fried individually first with plenty of shallots to bring out the aroma.

Hello!

I have some news! I’m back doing catering business.

These days, I cook for my family and friends but truth to be told, I missed cooking for people and their parties. I cherished the challenges and rewards that come with it. I remembered just being “in the zone” and kept producing food from my home kitchen for hours and hours at a time, and just being extremely satisfied with myself after all the work. Tiring, yes, but it was very rewarding.

So, I’m back with a new menu. Some beloved and signature dishes are kept and some new delicious dishes are added which I hope you will come to enjoy, too.

My version of hot and spicy chicken. It’s a mild version so kids love them, too! So good that I have to include them in my catering menu. DM for enquiries if you need catering service!

Cooked up a storm last Sunday. Went to a small fishing village in Kuala Selangor and couldn’t resist buying some fresh seafood. Whipped up a small feast: Ladies finger with homemade sambal, steamed garoupa and steamed prawns with glass noodles.
