The legendary alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson has passed away at 98 years old his family has announced. Lou became a Blue Note fixture after playing on sessions led by Milt Jackson & Thelonious Monk in 1952 & soon began his own 20+ year run of leader albums for the label spanning bebop, hard bop, soul jazz & jazz funk including timeless classics like "Blues Walk" & "Alligator Bogaloo"... Soms zit het mee, soms zit het tegen. 😅
Met de recensies maar ook met de fouten.. (ik heb ze in de vertaling eruit gehaald)
In dezelfde editie van Jazzism stond een prachtig interview en achterin stond dit.. 💡❓🏠
Vroeger had ik dit lastig gevonden, nu moet ik er eerder om lachen.
En hoe dan ook, promo is promo en mijn naam is juist geschreven.
Vind je 6 studio-albums en een live-album weinig? Ik niet.
In de Nederlandse tekst van deze recensie staan 3 fouten. Vind je ze? De eerste die ze vindt mag kiezen uit:

"The first time she saw Roy Hargrove (1969-2018) was during a concert at a festival in Germany, where Alt grew up. "I didn't know him or his band, but when I saw Hargrove with his band, I was instantly hooked. Afterwards, the band members went for a drink at the jam session.
