rd towards that goal and take that very first scary step towards achieving the dream. My name is Julie Atimi Metselaar. I'm a Nigerian and I live in the Netherlands with my husband and three kids. Cooking has always been a passion of mine right from a very young age. It's something i do with love and from the heart but only realised this later as i turned 30, that it's what i'm supposed to do as a carrier as i derive so much pleasure and happiness whenever i cook or make a tasty and pretty looking dish, cutely presented on a plate. For these reasons, i decided to study culinary cooking here in holland for a few years and got my Diploma in culinary cooking Level 3. Ever since then, i've worked in almost all sectors of the food industry and have gotten lots of experiences in these area's. Be it; Restaurants, hotels, catering companies and so on. I have learnt a lot from my experiences and these different jobs. But my dream has always been having my own small business of providing good quality and very tasty food to people for their special occassions and i feel like it's time to kick fear aside and go for it! And that's how AfrikDelish was born. The reason for the name AfrikDelish is me wanting to share my Nigerian delicacies with people who have no clue of what our African or Nigerian foods taste like and for the love i have for my native nigerian delicacies. I decided it will only be right to share it with everyone who desires to know or is interested in tasting something deliciously different and interesting. The Delish part of AfrikDelish is me also offering my culinary cooking skills and years of experience in the french and international food kitchens, which i love dearly as well, to those who desire to have these delicious foods in their special occassions. I love culinary cooking very much and that is one reason why i decided to make this branch, so that i can share that love of making pretty, cute and tasty food with you. So, what is AfrikDelish about and what do we offer? AfrikDelish is a small catering service company that combines "the best of both worlds" of (African) Nigerian cuisines and french/international cuisines. Our focus is to introduce you to the nigerian kitchen, to taste the flavours, richness, diversity and vibrant colours of the Nigerian kitchen. Our purpose is to provide you the best of Nigerian cuisines and also give you a deliciously different way of experiencing good food. The subdivision "Delish" represents our passion for French/International cooking. We love to be diverse and love experiencing the flavours from all works of life and sometimes even combining these flavours from different continents, which is quite interesting. Delish offers you a range of french/International foods from; Amuse bouche to Hors' douevres, Buffet for 50 to a (romantic) culinary dinner for 2 or more, Tapas to curries, soups, salads, pastries, pies, high tea for a fun or fancy gathering and lots more.
