🤴🏼KINGSDAY👑

I actually don’t give a crap about our royal family and who’s bday it might be. Nonetheless I do care about a good excuse to throw a party with great music and cold beer! 🍻 🎵

I had the pleasure to provide and with the day program until about 22/21 o clock.

I’m very fortunate to have these cool people playing for us this year. Both line-ups consist of local legends, residents from the ‘Party At The Pub’ nights and a few other amazing DJ’s from the other Dam 😜. Besides I’m also looking forward to playing myself!

Every now and then (rarely actually) I check my artist Spotify account to see what’s happening with my music. Spotify is not a big deal for me since it’s not the kind of place that my music is made for. It’s primarily made for the dance floor and that doesn’t always translate to more streams or getting the benefits from that wonderful algorithm 😜😅.

Still it’s great to see that my music does get picked up by some great playlists! These are all playlists made by real people, artists and labels like and I think that’s awesome!

I can recommend one of my latest releases with .cadmium ‘Dark Days Bright Nights’ which you can hear in this post and on EPM’s electro machine funk playlist. This is my fav track that we did together. It’s perfect for a nighttime drive.

So I know these guys now for more than 20 years. And Coen’s 11th birthday we started playing Dungeons an Dragons. Now we are celebrating his birthday again which also marks the anniversary for our dnd campaign. One campaign with one huge story line for twenty years!!! You might think we are huge geeks, and we are (and proud of it) but you gotta admit that this is pretty epic.

Now I gotta admit that we didn’t always play regularly. There have been some breaks in between. But yesterday we picked it back up to celebrate this anniversary and it felt very familiar very quick.

Fate would actually have it that this just came out. What a coincidence huh? So we went to see it and were pleasantly surprised. So many references and things that feel familiar. Someone who doesn’t play might not totally get this movie because it can be a little over the top, or it might have too many one liners and jokes. But I can tell from experience that this is actually pretty close to our playing style and how we experience a session. We crack jokes, laugh, have crazy cliche characters and do crazy stupid stuff! We took a picture with the cardboard cutout but you need true seeing to see us 😜.

I can’t wait for the next adventure and I’m very grateful to have these guys in my life. We have always been great friends and is what kept us together through 20 years of growing up.

To sum up this year: 3 days, 6 parties. My feet hurt and I’m running on fumes. But it was all worth it!!!

I’m grateful for all the people I got to meet and connect with this year. Some of them I finally got to meet after already working together for a while. Some were unexpected but delightful. I shook hands with a few bonafide legends! 🤝

I got to dance to some of the music I worked on myself 👌😁. Seeing a hall full of people moving to your work is a special feeling.

I’m still buzzing and I’m looking forward to get to work. There are a lot of great things about to happen and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
