FAMILY ✨

I always make an effort to take a family photo every year around Autumn and we have successfully done so for 4 years now, it’s so cool to see the change as our family grows (and Sam gets more grey hairs). Sam doesn’t even complain anymore, he just turns up for the 10mins it takes and knows he doesn’t even have to look at the camera. Ivy on the other hand is the ⭐️ and works her best smile for the photographer (camera/tripod on self timer). Issy 🐶 is also very well trained for the camera and put on her best adoring face. And Mitch, you’re just damn cute and stayed pretty happy until your sister ‘accidentally’ pushed you over. And I will make the most of these yearly photo shoots while you kids still let me!

Personal announcement… Baby #2 on the way! 30 weeks pregnant + 17 weeks of our darling girl Ivy rocking a Spica cast. It’s been a long road to heal your dislocated hip and I’m so excited to see you use your legs again, 1 day soon. But most of all, I can’t wait to see you be an amazing big sister! Always smiling no matter what life throws at you, so proud to be your Mum.
Thanks for the maternity photos. Looks like has their new photographer sorted while I’m on maternity leave!
p.s I will be back shooting a limited amount of elopements and intimate weddings from May 2023.

It was the wildest windy day up on the mountains for Mikayla & Hayden but they held each other tight and let the elements create magic blowing her dress and veil into chaos. I just love the unpredictability of the weather here especially when my couples get amongst it to make unforgettable wedding day moments and memories 🤍

I was witness to one of the prettiest sunsets with these love birds Michelle & Lance on top of Mount Crichton recently. It’s always the few minutes before and after the sun kisses the top of the mountain that I start loosing my s**t about the gorgeous light and try take a bazillion photos before it gets dark and we have to fly back to base.

Jen & Alex started their wedding enquiry with me to book my for their big queenstown wedding. They added photography (love that a photo booth was priority over photographer! 😆) but unfortunately due to border closures they couldn’t have their day without overseas family so instead of postponing their big wedding they eloped on the same day and celebrated with loved ones when it was possible! I love that the pandemic didn’t completely ruin your plans and the main thing was you got married as planned and it was so beautiful!

The lovely intimate wedding of Chelsea & Michael was held at their lush Air BnB. We then travelled 2mins down the road to Jacks Point Hill, one of my fav spots for stunning mountain & lake views. And they celebrated with a family dinner at a local restaurant for a chill and stress free wedding day. Congrats and thanks for having me capture the love xx

If you’re unsure if a winter elopement is for you, check out Lucretia and Jayme’s beautiful photos… you’re probably thinking sunset in winter sounds freaken freezing!…. But there’s something about the endorphins from just getting married that keep you distracted from that cold. Plus I keep you moving and lots of hugs during photos! All worth it for this stunning light and snow IMO

22.02.2022 Katie & Fraser stood in the rain in-front of their families and declared their love for each other. It was such a heartfelt ceremony and the moody weather just added to it. ERIN & KARL… All wedding day long they kept saying how lucky they were… To be able to have the ceremony outside as it was cast for rain, to be able to helicopter as it was crazy winds (even if we only lasted 3mins on the mountain) and now most of all, they are so lucky to have the wedding of their dreams last Saturday as the country went into lockdown 3 days after their celebration! So stoked for you guys, it was perfect!!!

A special post for our extraordinary and soon to be mommy photographer, Carla. The first time I’ve seen her portfolio, I thought to myself that when I’m already old I can imagine that I would be so proud to show off the pictures to my future grandchildren. And hey definitely no regrets! Our experience was magnificent not just because of the breathtaking view but because of Carla’s versatility. The whole preparation was a mess due to the numerous cancellations and unexpected change of plans till the big day BUT Carla’s support was exceptional 🥰

2020 hasn’t been a great year for weddings worldwide… But Covid-19 didn’t stop adventurous couple Lucretia and Jayme, instead they wanted to make the most of a s**t situation. The gorgeous young couple got engaged the weekend before NZ went into Level 4 lockdown so they used this that time to think about what was really important to them and booked their Queenstown elopement for 3 months later. They wanted a fun, romantic and intimate day together that encapsulated romance, adventure and their dream of a literal winter wonderland wedding!
