The first day of Spring. Happy September Lovelies!!
For me September is an exciting month because it marks the start of a new beginning & also many beautiful bright flowers are available this month.
Weddings and flowers are the perfect partners. What would a wedding be without flowers??
The passion I have for weddings is the same with flowers especially bright flowers.These bright and lively palettes have been trendy for a while and continue into next year. And the trend is predicted that these bright colors will stay around for the next five years as some trends never die out. From a young age I was always picking bright flowers with my mum & gran in our gardens and these made for the best memories. There's just something about flowers and they are an essential part of your day. Flowers help create an overall aesthetic that makes your wedding a beautiful and a great experience experience you and your guests will never forget.
The latest trends are the perfect place to get inspiration from and I must say the blooms are bigger, bolder & more colourful this year . Go out and make a huge statement this year with your wedding florals because your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime Affair!!

The visual aesthetic of your wedding is very important when planning your wedding because beauty is in the details. Creating a moodboard is very helpful to hone your wedding vision and ideas. And a clear wedding vision will make your day very memorable and create wowfactor for your guests.

HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER: If you have room in your budget it's important to hire a wedding planner. We don't just look at Pinterest photos and fill in spreadsheets but we plan and execute weddings and is much harder than it looks so hiring a professional wedding planner is essential if you want a stress free and enjoyable experience. And we can help navigate the challenges and challenges of the wedding industry in a post-COVID world.

SET YOUR DATE AND BOOK YOUR VENUE: Once you have your vision guiding your wedding day now you can set your date and book your venue. Your ceremony ahd reception will become the backdrop for all your wedding photos not to mention that this part will have some of the biggest allocation of your budget and the overall vibe for your Wedding. Booking your venue and vendors as soon as possible is advised as they are being booked out two years in advance.

HIRE PRIORITY WEDDING VENDORS : Many in demand vendors are booked out fast so book your priority vendors asap is advised. There is no order to book your vendors in but I do recommend booking your wedding planner, venue and photographers first and then the rest of the wedding vendors/suppliers.
YOUR GUEST LIST: By now you have more of an idea on what you want and how many people will be invited. Once you've booked your ceremony and site reception you'll be limited to how many people it can accommodate and think of the flow of the day as well. The more guests you invite the more costs per head for catering so keep this in mind when creating your guest list.
WEDDING WEBSITE: Its never too early to get started on this task. Your wedding website is equally important as it houses all the important details of your wedding like dress code, date's, times etc.

And remember there is no right way to plan a wedding but to do what's best for you as a couple. For some it was important to tie the knot as soon as possible and for others a longer engagement period is ideal. THE WINTER WEDDING: Are u set on a beautiful winter wedding? Winter weddings are a very popular choice for couples wanting something different as they come with a great atmosphere and lots of sparkle and style so embrace the winter season!!
Get stunning snowy wedding photos, holiday themed wedding decor and some venues host weddings all year round which is an added bonus.
Some things to consider when having a winter wedding:
The weather is the most important factor that needs to be considered for the big day because of guests.
Have a backup up plan if you're thinking of an outside location or a roaring fireplace for an inside wedding.
Lighting is also critical using lots of lights especially fairy lights can transform your wedding into a winter wonderland. Have a candlelight alter or marry under a wintery inspired arch.

TABLE CENTERPIECES: One of the simplest ways of creating tablecenterpieces is using recycled glass jars big and small from my home. I always collect these jars because they make lovely containers for the prettiest centerpieces on your tables irrespective of the season. And this is one of my favorite ways to make beautiful, budget and colourful centerpieces for celebrations and weddings. They don't have to be expensive because you can use cheaper flower varieties, an abundance of colourful flowers and greenery to save on your budget but also gives your tablescape the Wowfactor. Also use wild flowers, Queen Anne's Lace, flowers & foliage from your garden, your neighbors or friends garden because these make for the prettiest tablescentrepieces and the best part is that they so easy to make and arrange. This also makes a gorgeous DIY Project and saves you time and money and you've made something so beautiful for your wedding. Adding colour to your wedding brings everything together and makes it look luxe. At Jlaweddings & Events we love a good smokebomb show and apparently couples and photographers love it too because its become one of the hottest trends for 2022. They're easy to use, look fantastic and create gorgeous bright clouds of smoke creating a dreamy backdrop. Set them off to get the perfect kiss shot, during the ceremony or for the wowfactor exit shot with your bridal party. Smokebombs also look great at night so decide on the time of day when you want to set them off for best effect. Always do a test run before your wedding day and get the help of a vendor or friend to set them off. If your photographer has worked with smokebombs before then that's an added bonus because some photographers are literally obsessed with them. Colour is been incorporated into weddings in so many ways today because it's trendy and brings the wowfactor to any celebration. So using smokebombs is a creative way to put your colour palette on show and create the Wowfactor for your big day with a great explosion of colour!!

WHAT TO DO THE WEEK OF YOUR WEDDING: A JLA Wedding Tip 4:
Make good use of the the last days of your wedding so that you both are happy and able to enjoy your wedding day. It's the final countdown and the last thing you want to be stressing about is the logistics and decor. That's why you've hired a wedding planner!! A tip from some other wedding planners is to pretend your wedding is two to three weeks earlier so you can have enough time to focus on self-care, family matters and anything else that might come up at the last minute. For me its important to square away as much as you can or all of it before the final week of the wedding. I advise my clients that this time is used to focus on the two of you, spending time together, self-care and lots of rest so that you are stress free on your wedding day.
Things to do:
⚜Touch base with your wedding party and make sure everyone is on the same page.
⚜Take time off work.
⚜Make final payments
⚜Prep and deliver welcome bags, your wedding planner can help with this.
⚜Gather up gratuities
⚜Prioritize self-care, hair & beauty treatments.
⚜Break in your wedding shoes
⚜Make sure u have your marriage license.
⚜A plan B depending on the weather. Put rain plans in place if your wedding is outside as you might need an alternative indoor plan if necessary.
⚜Finally pack your suitcases and if your leaving the country make sure u have all necessary travel documents, passports etc.
