I’M ALIVE ✨
Hello lovely people! Sorry it’s been way too long but I have been a little preoccupied with a new chapter in my own story…🙈

I have always been someone who likes to give my ALL to everything I do, and of course, with something as big and important as a baby, I felt it warranted my undivided attention & time.

Thank you to those who reached out to check up on me & for continuing to tag me in your posts/stories!
I have still been doing quotes and consultations and have been taking bookings for next year’s calendar 🫶🏼

CHURCH WEDDINGS✨
They're definitely not as popular anymore but there is something so sacred, ceremonious and special about having your wedding at a church.
A sanctity that cannot be replaced by any other venues.

Religious aspect aside - the warm tones, the security of it being indoors (no worries about wet weather!), the organ music, the stained glass windows, the high roof, the traditional ornate aesthetic and countless photo opportunities; what's not to love?

When you're planning your wedding, it's very easy to lose sight of what's truly important. We see professional photoshoots of bridal gowns, extravagant decor, elaborate floral arrangements, accessories that are worthy of being heirloom, impeccable hair and makeup... And the pressure is overwhelming. There is a lot to plan, execute and frankly, to pay for when your expectations are coming from social media!

Often, you don't need everything instagram, Pinterest, bridal magazines sell you.

PHOTOGRAPHER ✨

One of the most important things to consider when planning your event - weddings, birthdays, parties - is the photography style you're after. Is it editorial, relaxed, candid, posed or other? Do you prefer a more edited aesthetic to your photos with contrasting colours, earthy tones or photos where the natural colours shine? Do you like nature, use of props or studio settings?

I'm by no means a photography expert, but I've done so much research that no matter your preferences, I can point you in the right direction and lead you to the photographer for you.

Personally, my favourite style is a mixture of editorial and relaxed: you're posed, poised but not in a contrived, trying-too-hard way! It's also not soooo candid where your "angles" aren't being considered 🤭

CHINESE TEA CEREMONY✨

One of the things I feel we don't see enough in New Zealand wedding magazines or Instagram accounts are Chinese Tea Ceremonies!

Chinese brides - I know it's an extra thing to plan / basically an extra half a wedding, but it's SO worth it! The intimate moments with your family, the love, the gratitude and being in touch with a small part of your culture - they truly embody what weddings are all about ❤️
