Hello flower friends!

I hope you are all keeping warm on these chilly days. Thank goodness the sun has still been shining most days. I am busy in the garden preparing for next season - planting spring flowers and digging up hundreds of dahlias!

Mother’s Day is coming up and although our flowers have finished for the season we still offer vouchers for all the flower and garden loving Mums out there!

That’s a wrap for the 2023/2024 season!! 🙌

The crispy frost yesterday well and truly nipped the dahlias and they are now heading into hibernation mode for the winter.

I am beyond grateful that the dahlias pushed through the early light frosts at the end of March and I was able to have a field of blooms for the workshops and also fulfill final subscription bouquets, numerous florist and DIY bucket orders and my first wedding bouquets.

My second season has been a busy one and I am very thankful for the many wonderful connections I have made with florists, growers and fellow flower lovers. I have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you and have loved the endless garden chats.

Special thanks to Lee at Out the Gate who has allowed me to sell my blooms at her Kaiapoi food truck. The team there are such kind hearted and down to earth people and it’s a great place to visit for delicious coffee and food 🥰

Even though the flowers have come to end for the season, I am busy behind the scenes getting ready for next season. I am sowing thousands of hardy annual seeds for spring flowers, and am planning and preparing garden beds for spring bulbs and flowers.

It will soon be time to start digging up the dahlia tubers for winter storage and then dividing. Keep an eye out for dahlia tuber sales in Spring!
