Wow.. what a wedding! This wedding was so beautiful - everything was planned to perfection and it was an honour to be apart of it. I first met Stacey & Jace over Zoom and planned their ceremony from afar as they live in Australia. Their love story was beautiful and you could feel the love all around them.. thank you for trusting me with your love story 🤍

This one was fun ✨ Anyone who knows these two, knows they’re absolutely hilarious but also so perfectly matched. I loved every minute of this ceremony and wish we could go back and do it all again!

To say Roisin & Ben’s wedding was special, would be an understatement. Roisin (my cousin) and Ben are so much fun and have an unmatched sense of humour, which made writing their ceremony so enjoyable. Unfortunately, due to the first lockdown I was unable to make the trip down to Dunedin for their original wedding date.. but luckily just over a year later we celebrated with a beautiful vow renewal and got to share the love story we created for their wedding day for all of their family and friends. It was such a wonderfully, windswept celebration in a beautiful spot… and to top it off, my +1 was pretty cute and lasted till after dinner and the speeches 👏🏼😉🤍 📸

One important job of a celebrant is to get out of the way when the first kiss is happening.. sometimes this can be challenging when dodging bouquets, alters, wedding dress trains & bridesmaids. But as you can see here, I’ve clearly met the brief! In fact, I have no idea where I am or how I managed to get so far out of the shot but I must’ve been moving at record speed! 🏃🏻‍♀️😆

On Saturday I had the privilege of being a part of Shelley & Martin’s big day. It was a dark, moody, stormy day outside but that couldn’t dull the love, fun and happiness between these two. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Weir 🤍🖤

So..I’ve been a little bit quiet on here as the nesting has officially begun in preparation for the arrival of our little one later this month 💕
Now that I’m officially on maternity leave, and not in the classroom Monday to Friday, I’m excited to work on some upcoming ceremonies for summer 2021-22! 🤍
So despite some exciting changes in my life, I’m certainly taking bookings to ‘Thai the Knot’ this upcoming season and beyond!

You never forget your first!
Especially a wedding as special as this one! Emma and Josh are my long time friends and Emma was the driving force behind me getting my celebrants licence! Seeing Em come down the aisle, and performing my very first ceremony this day, was beyond incredible and a day I will never forget! 🤍

A little bit about me...
Hello! I’m Thais (nickname Thai) and I am a wedding celebrant based in New Plymouth, NZ.
By day, I am a primary school teacher (and as of May 2021 a mum to beautiful Lottie 🤍), which I absolutely love.
A passion I have always had is public speaking, performing arts and connecting with people. And so after a dinner out with friends in 2018, discussing upcoming weddings and potential celebrants, ‘Thai the Knot’ was born and I haven’t looked back!
I absolutely love working with couples to create stress free, fun and bespoke wedding ceremonies that tell their unique story in their way - it is such a privilege.
