We also farewell wedding season .. I am counting down till when it all starts up again x and if you are a 2020/2021 bride I am still very much available by email .. [email protected]
.
Actually we kind of farewelled life as we knew ...
.
It was a hard week last week going into a nationwide lockdown for covid19 for not only business owners, children, parents, friends, well everyone!!!
.
Life changed instantly and out of our control - and now we need to do our bit so we can all get back to normal so please STAY AT HOME!!!!!
As we entered into the unknown so many questions, so many decisions ... it was all a bit overwhelming.
.
Closing my Ivy Lane doors and not knowing when I will create again ...
.
This week I have just taken the time to reflect, breathe (kinda) ... stay in my bubble which i do quite like - i get to be a mum, & with a full on wedding season mum being at home didnt happen so this is still a bit of a novelty (it is wearing off - I am spending to much time in the kitchen baking) I love making memories with my kids - we have had a great first week - wheels fell off a bit yesterday as I was informed it was school holidays now so we dont need to do anything ....
.
So yesterday I thought I'd categorize all of my photos (that's not a fun game - especially when you have kids and you have to add categorizing teen selfies 🙄 to the mix)
ANYWAY that's enough rambling ...
.
Grab a morning coffee and enjoy a lil slideshow of one album I got sorted
(me and technology do not go well together this was more stressful than thinking up lockdown entertainment for teens)
Cleaning with a touch of PE in lockdown
How are you all doing ... we have narrowed the "schooling" down to just 1 chosen subject - must be a different subject each day ... and to save my cupbaords if kids want something to eat 9am -330pm they have to MAKE / BAKE it ... which has helped/saved the all day revolving pantry
And then we do tech in the afternoons
- we've done cooking where banana bread, afghans fed us for morning tea (this is why I dont bake as its like a competition to see how fast they can eat it)and pizza dough with a competition for dinner last night (which was more stressful than the last 3 days 😂😂
Art - footpath chalk messages
Science- DIY lava lamps and DIY soap making
....
Today was a bit of cleaning with a touch of PE video included for entertainment ⬇️⬇️

Is all I can say ... a recap of my fab weekend!!!
.
I was honoured to be the florist for Ashley & Nathan in Tauranga this weekend at The Olive Tree (what a stunning piece of paradise amongst the hills)
.
The powers of Facebook brought us together, the trust, the creation the day it all came together AMAZINGLY!!
.
We ventured to Tauranga on Thursday morning, a pitstop at Fat Piegeon, the stupidest car games 🤦♀️ we hired an air b&b which was perfect!!!!!!
.
Loaded up the laundry with fabulous blooms delivered to the doorstep
.
We filled Thursday arvo with beach time, giggles, wine,
Friday morning with beachtime (as this was our back doorstep), plazas, food, wine, then a site visit followed with creations of bouquets
.
Saturday my helpful squirt and I ventured out to venue to create!!!!
I have no words as to how proud I am of myself for creating this brides dream .. (and for taking a child to save me going up and down the ladder) .. the colours on point .. the creations a success and my first hanging install above the bridal table (which I had a few nightmares over)
We all got serenaded by squirt playing the piano when he got sick of being my slave
.
He spent his wages at kmart 20min later on clothes 🤣
.
He had googled Tauranga on Wednesday and one of the main attractions was climbing The Mount .... so this was a daily can we ... to which Sunday was the day 5.04am was not what I had in mind but kept him till 10am
Was a beautiful literal breathtaking morning (so unfit) but loved it!!!!!
.
