Lemon, honey and thyme baked cheesecake this week....and here's a cheesecake baking hack for you😉
Instead of covering the outside of your springform tin with tinfoil, just pop it inside another tin (as pictured), then pop both those tins into a roasting dish, the water bath goes in the roasting dish. Works just as well as tinfoil, and is much more eco friendly 🌿

This kalamata olive and lemon zest bread was sooooo good....with eggs for brekky, on a cheeseboard, Italian toastie...so many possibilities!

My beautiful mother in law teaching the kids to make a traditional Lebanese biscuit - ma'amoul - I have learnt so much from this amazing woman.
She is an amazing cook and you pretty much need a crowbar to get her out of the kitchen!
Always she stockpiles the freezer with her delicious Lebanese food during a visit.... Thankyou Elham, We love you! 🩷

Hi! I'm Amber, I thought it was about time I introduced myself on here😊
Myself and my partner Richard co own/manage Owhiwa Road Pizza.
3 fun facts about me!
-I have worked in and managed kitchens all over the world, from Butterfly valley in Turkey to remote farmhouses in Southland, cooking for shearing gang's.
-I have studied permaculture and our garden is a big part of our business and my life....if you drive past our place you are likely to spot me in the garden 🌱
- I was very lucky to grow up in the Bay of Islands eating fresh kai moana, like pipis on my Mum's warm homemade bread and kina on the beach straight from the shell 😋

As the garden is chocka block with parsley and other fresh green herbs, I thought it was about time I whipped up a salsa verde to drizzle over this week's SPECIAL!
Salami, feta, black olives, capers and mushrooms drizzled with a fresh zingy salsa verde ( super tasty green sauce packed with fresh herbs)$28

This is a gluten and dairy free pizza...YUM! You are not missing out at all.
We make our own GF free bases from organic flours.
We always stock vegan cheese, but also have delicious saucy substitutes, like the salsa verde above or the zaatar on our Mediterranean pizza.
We even make a GF Vegan Peppermint slice, which is sooo good!
We can cater for any dietary requirements if you book us for an event, at no extra charge 😁
