Kerr & Ladbrook Catering are 4 time Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand winner & delighted winners of the 2023 Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand Supreme Award.

Having originally started in the restaurant scene as a chef and owner of several award winning establishments, he was often asked if they could cater for restaurant clients and families weddings… and so it began.

With over a thousand bespoke weddings in some of the most remote and challenging setups around the greater Waikato and beyond.

Dave these days works more on the business and leaves the cooking to his fantastic team of chefs, who on top of still feeding lots of weddings have also catered for large scale corporate events, race days, Cricket and several World Cup events.

Achieving “the balance” in life over the last few years has also been a goal. To support our team of chefs and front of house so they can strive whilst focusing on the goals and ensuring they have the support and systems in our business to achieve excellence whilst also having time for the grandkids ….. a ‘happy’ work in progress!

With more than 23 years’ industry experience, Yvana’s journey has taken her from salon apprentice to specialised bridal hair stylist — one that is internationally recognised for her romantic, airy styles and coveted ‘effortless’ finish that, in reality, requires incredible skill and eye for detail.

Yvana works with a small number of bridal clients but is now largely focused on education, offering 1:1 coaching sessions and masterclasses across New Zealand, Australia and abroad.

Yvana has won many awards over her 23yrs hairdressing career, her first taking out best hair up and best creative cut when she had only been hairdressing 6 months. Her recent accomplishment was winning in the category Outstanding Hairstylist for the 2022 Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand and placing among the top 25 Best Educators in the BTP Awards 2023, which is a worldwide competition.

After a challenging 8 months, we are finally ready! We've shovelled, demolished, cleaned, rebuilt, replaced, repaired, washed and polished and as we like to say here at Linden, we were devastated but not defeated.
We will be celebrating our reopening to the public on Labour Weekend from Saturday the 21st of October until Monday 23rd of October from 10am until 4pm each day, with live music, entertainment for the kids, delicious food from Valley D'Vine and of course wine by the glass, by the bottle or even by the case!

I am Kirsty (KJ).

I am an advocate for Sony NZ and an internationally award-winning wedding and portrait photographer.

I have been photographing for 10 years but 2022 was a highlight.

In February 2022 I won the Micro Business category at the Northland Business Excellence Awards. In August that same year,
I went on to win Most Outstanding Wedding Photographer at Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand, and I took out the Wedding category for the Asia Pacific Photography awards winning 1st & 2nd place & Peoples Choice award.

In February 2023 This was topped off by earning 3rd place in the Wedding category judged against the best of the best photographers from all around the world at the International Portrait Masters Awards.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I run an empowerment studio in Whangarei. I pride myself on empowering women through the art of photography.

I do this by combining my studies in Psychology, my own experience with trauma & survival and my skill set with photography.

Photography allows me to see the world in a different way, finding the beauty in moments and people that would usually pass unnoticed.

I look forward to being part of the 2024 Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand panel of judges.
