Show & Shine results!

Congratulations to Sharon, Ivan, Brent & Matt!

Thanks to all of those that entered their bikes and voted for the peoples choice entry. This raised nearly $300 to go to the great work the Salvation Army do in the community.

With a fantastic injection by a very generous couple from the waikato, along with a small top up from the raffle sales we made the total donation up to $500.

10.30am If your keen park your bike ready for the Show & shine to begin
11.00am Show & Shine starts (Salvation Army & Scouts supporting)
1.00pm Show & shine ends, organisers to collect & count votes

1.15pm Ride Briefings - Carpark beside show & shine (Top of Seddon Street)

1.30pm Rides depart (Note all rides return to Waihi Town)
Ride #1 – Whangamata - Kopu circuit – 150km approx
Ride # 2 - Wood turners Café – 120km approx.
Ride #3 – Te Aroha Loop – 130km approx.
* These rides are run by our Chapter Road Captains, a single briefing will be given for all rides at 1.15,
weather considerations will be made on the day at the RC descretion

5.00pm RSA doors open, Last minute registration available - 13 Seddon Street, Waihi.

5.30pm Welcome, Housekeeping, Speeches - Spot prize Wrist band number, Raffles

6.15pm Show & shine presentations

Hey everyone we have nearly cracked 100 tickets sold to this event!

Things are shaping up nicely, if you've got mates that are not 100% sure please let them know the main event ticket (including dinner & breakfast) sales will close on the 31st of October so we can confirm catering number.

After that there will be limited Days passes available so please coax them to come along.

Ride 2 - Te Aroha Loop
Ride 3 - Whangamata/Kopu Loop.

Ride distances approx 120 - 150km and will be led by road captains from EC HOG, Waikato HOG and Auckland HOG

The Waihi Wahoo, The Inaugural Run (2022) – the Chapter Event jointly organised by East Coast H.O.G and charities of Waihi.

Nothing Flashy, Nothing over the top, Just fun, a chance to catch up, tell stories, have a laugh, show off your bike (if you want that is) and most off all ride a few stunning roads in our beautiful country..

The Waihi Wahoo is set to have the streets of Waihi Rumbling with the distinctive sound of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles with H.O.G members kicking back for a well-earned gathering of like-minded riders during the weekend of 19th -20th November 2022.

Saturday is the arrival day with a Show & Shine show with trophies & prizes up for grabs, Peoples Choice & directors selection. Followed by some fantastic organised rides in our beautiful part of the country,

Members will be choosing from three great rides (details to follow)

Prizegiving, Dinner (included with general admission ticket) and an evening of fun & entertainment with a band back at the Seddon St RSA

Sunday you’ll pack up for the ride home….. or wherever the roads take you! But not before heading back into town to have your Breakfast (All included with the General Admission Ticket).

Due to venue Licensing/restriction tickets are very limited and we are sure to sell out fast.

There is a second ticket option;

Saturday Only, this gets you entry to the Show & shine if you wish, access to the organised rides and a patch, but not any meals.

FAQs;

What are my accommodation options?

Self Booking, There is a good range of Accommodation in town from 4.5 star to the campground.

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking should be available at your accommodation as well as first-come, first-served self-parking at the RSA.

What can I bring into the event? Bring yourself a positive attitude and the “back to basics” approach to good fun!! Don't bring non-HOG back patches or personal alcohol to a licensed premises

What's the refund policy? No Refunds will be provided, unless at the discretion of event management. Event management reserve the right to postpone the event to a time that is appropriate in the future, there are many potential reasons for this are and are outside the organisers control this may include a shift in COVID-19 Level requirements at the local/regional or national level, restricting the numbers of attendee’s to an unacceptable number.

All tickets are first-come, first-served to current Harley Owners Group members who are able to invite 1 additional guest.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes please!

Can I update my registration information? Yes

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? No.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? No

Liability Release Registration and attendance at The Waihi Wahoo includes a release of liability by registered attendees against Harley-Davidson Motor Company and/or The Harley Owners Group and/or Harley-Davidson Authorised Dealers and/or HOG Chartered Chapters and their respective officers, directors, employees, and/or agents to the extent permitted by law and agreement to waive, release, discharge, and hold harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, and/or expenses arising out of or in connection with any participation in this event.
