Our story begins..
Everyone dreams of something great, but it takes a lot of courage for someone to make it realize. The journey was quite hard from the start but there was no place to give up. And yes, we did it!
One dreamt and worked hard for it; now, he keeps on moving. The story of CB Acierto’s Event Styling and Coordination has started in 2016 when a female college batchmate asked for his assistance in making her engagement party to be a memorable one. Then, it evolved into more opportunities over the past seven years.
From a batchmate to a family relative, from churchmate to friends of friends, and from referrals of previous clients to more clients. The small team of CB Acierto’s Event Styling and Coordination was able to deliver quality events to families,organizations, and groups at a reasonable cost.
Where we started..
Our team was first started by Carlo Banes Acierto, the owner, a nurse by profession and currently working at a tertiary hospital in the Ilocandia. He found his passion to organize events and had been embracing his hosting skill as well, which gave him the chance to learn more ideas and discover his potential as an event planner. “May time noon na while I was having my hosting engagement, nakita ko yung struggles ng mga suppliers as well as the celebrants kung kaya from that time, I started to reflect and suddenly took the challenge without any cent but a bunch of hopes and eagerness to try new things”, Carlo said.
While working as a clinical nurse, he was able to accept hosting and planning of events during day offs and was able to juggle his time from work, from church obligations and other personal errands. From a pair of manpower to a group of 15 individuals, this freelance business, the team has gone to many worthwhile experiences which are truly for keeps. Carlo added; “In terms on the nature of this work, pinakamahirap na parte ang planning stage (we start from the scratch then brainstorming up to small details) but eventually nagiging magaan na yung gawain kapag all set na lahat, laking pasasalamat ko talaga sa mga clients na super mababait, sa mga suppliers na madaling kausap and trust really matters in this work. You need to gain their trust para babalik ulit sayo sa next events nila”.
Who we are….
This team includes siblings working together, inspired by his special someone, together with their friends and churchmates that had maintained the true meaning of collaboration, respect, and teamwork. From small event up to big events, Carlo was able to help his staff with their stipend from each event they organize which helped their own families in many ways especially during the pandemic.
At first, many have questioned their capacity to enter the event world but because of their extreme eagerness to bring happiness in the eyes of every client, the team surpassed the many challenges of rejection, judgment, and critical remarks. The CB Acierto’s Event Styling and Coordination, a freelance venue for event planning, styling, and coordination in all types of event such as baptismal, birthday, reunion, thanksgiving, retirement, debut, engagement, wedding, and other planned events has maintained its commitment to serve the Ilocanos and other clients even outside Ilocos.
We offer hands on planning and full coordination on all types of event but specializes more on weddings. For wedding details, we offer the wedding planning process from three to nine months to a year before the wedding day, assist clients in closing of deals and transactions from their chosen suppliers, and also to give our assistance during pre-nuptial shoot and post-engagement party. We also caters car trunk surprise for all types of event at a very affordable rate.
We give much importance in pursuing physical meetings with our clients together with our chosen suppliers and also online meetings for clients outside Ilocos Norte and overseas. Typical scenarios on event coordination include unforeseen problems brought by time, delay in the service or even weather changes. Carlo said; “In this type of industry, there will always come a time na no matter how much you prepare for it, may mga bagay pa rin na minsan kailangang habulin o itroubleshoot, kung kaya parang sa hospital duty ko din as a nurse, you always need to be good in decision making and critical thinking dahil nakasalalay sa amin yung success ng aming mga events”.
Times when we cannot please everyone during the program reception like dealing with some rude guests and other unavoidable circumstances brought by miscommunication or non-conformance had been part of our story as a team. These experiences taught the team to work harder, to be more committed and to always have that genuine smile to serve. The most expected activities of the team during wedding events include full assistance starting from the preparation up to detailing. Indeed, their work might be quite toxic and tiresome at times, but it is the smiles of their clients after the events that serve as their greatest reward, greater than the monetary. Our team also provides minimalist event styling at a very reasonable rate which caters the ceremonial and reception venue for wedding, party place for baptism, birthday, debut, thanksgiving,retirement, gender reveal, and engagement session.
We are thankful enough that through the good feedback and constant referrals of our previous clients and suppliers, our team continues to rise amidst the challenge of the recent pandemic. Carlo further answered; “For the past years, ang daming na cancel at na postpone na events due to the pandemic that is why we really needed to work hard on our own for the meantime and help my team in simple ways”. And today, we are ready for the many possibilities.
Way Forward….
What keeps us moving? This freelance business has been going strong over the years of rendering quality service delivered by our compassionate staff. We want the “new normal” community to be at the heart of this new freelance business identity where we can provide a customized event that is totally fit to all seasons of time and place. The team is fully prepared for the challenges and stress no matter what situations bring them. That’s a good deal!
CB Acierto’s Event Styling and Coordination assures every client to manage all simple events. Our new direction sets us to many ways to innovate our freelance business enterprise considering our financial limitation and resources as a team. Over the past years, our team had started saving resources as we earned from this freelance business so that we can put up our business establishment and now we are embracing our new office located at Bacarra, Ilocos Norte. It took us a long road, but surely we will never get tired of it.
This wonderful journey has just begun and the whole team keeps on sailing the boat. Thus, Carlo, the team leader, wants himself to inspire more young minds out there to never stop believing, to aim high for their dreams, and to make the most of it. It takes passion and commitment to make dreams into reality. Along the way, they will face so much disappointments and judgment but these will not make them stop from achieving their desires in life.
To all the former clients and fellow event suppliers of our team, we are extending our most heartfelt thanks for the unending support and also to the patronage of our clients—the very reason of our existence, with our new business name, the CB Acierto’s Events Management Services continue to work with compassion, dedication and pride.
