Our inspirationof her national Costume is Lisuga — “Goddess of Star and Constilation" (Visayan Mythological Character)

“LISUGA” means “light” for Cebuanos, that ancient Visayas mythology used her light-emitting tattooed body to defend her people. Every mark of its physique reminds Lapu-Lapu’s heroism and the native Cebuanos’ victory in the battle of Mactan.

It is said that Visayans prayed to Lisuga to guide them from their struggles. True enough, Cebuanos were victorious in their defense against its enemies.
