ABOUT US

From humble beginnings of selling cookies and other desserts to family friends and relatives during Holiday Season, it was then named Sweet Indulgence. After realizing sweets were only saleable depending on the season. The owner decided to venture out selling Packed Lunches and Food Trays for kids birthday parties, corporate events and seminars. After a few months, they then expanded to a full catering service. Their first catering service was in late 2017 for a Local Fiesta for approximately 250 people, then again to a Wedding in January 2018. As a neophyte in the Food Industry, Bujik Kitchen strived hard to keep up with the competitors and thus proceeded to be officially in the business by March 2018 as a single proprietor. Starting with just two employees, (owner included as the main cook) and some on-call waiters, Bujik Kitchen served several caters for the first half of the year 2018 and then eventually two to three catering services every month for the second half of the year until present.

Bujik Kitchen envisions to be the top caterer not only for Lapu Lapu City but as well as the whole Cebu province.

MISSION

Bujik Kitchen’s mission is to provide not just a good quantity of food but the best quality of food by avoiding the usage of artificial flavorings & enhancers and as well as food coloring. We also want to provide best quality of food by having restaurant and hotel quality suppliers of different meats, seafoods and vegetables. Most importantly, not forgetting to provide the best catering service for our customers.

BUJIK KITCHEN’S CHEF PORTFOLIO

What was once a hobby when she was 12 years old, Chef Marie was already cooking alongside his grandmother and uncles who then had a small Barbeque Stall. As she was growing up, there was already a burning passion inside her for baking and cooking. Upon reaching college years, Chef Marie wanted to take up Culinary School, but to fulfill her parent’s wishes, she took up Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with them hoping that she would eventually become a doctor like her mom and older sister. After graduating and passing the Boards, Chef Marie finally then took up her dream course at MOST Institute Culinary School – Cebu and graduated with honors. After earning her National Certificate in Commercial Cooking in TESDA, she then applied for internships to gain more experience. Together with her high hopes and hard work she landed an internship at one of the world’s best hotel and resort chain -- Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa and then was able to have her International internship at The Hartstone Inn and Hideaway in the US. After her internships, she came home and tried working other jobs to make ends meet for. While working, she also attended a short course class in Baking and Pastry at International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management to enhance her knowledge in Baking and Pastry. She then realized that working for someone isn’t what she wanted, thus made her start SWEET INDULGENCE and then BUJIK KITCHEN, officially.
