Szewska (itself a living exhibit of human dynamics), Artophrenics serves as a gallery and shop, but also as a work studio and living space for the couple (not to mention their cat, Franciszek). All of the work on display is their own, and the fact that it challenges convention and ignites conversation is impossible ignore; planned exhibits for October and November include: PornArt - an 18+ exhibit in which visitors enter a dark room through a giant va**na and illuminate the playfully erotic, borderline kitsch, but very explicit paintings with a small black light; PsychedelicArt - a 30-metre canvas of mind-bending black-lit visuals; and AwakeningArt - colourful, surreal images inspired by the divine energy within all of us. If that all sounds completely bonkers, it's art, man. The fact that they plan to open each day at 4:20pm should give you an idea of the wavelength these two are on. Some remaining logistical hurdles made exact opening dates difficult to know at press time, but this is their home so drop by any time (and check their website for updates); press 1 on the door buzzer to be let in.
