Department of Migrant Workers: Ang Tahanan ng OFWs sa Gobyerno

On Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00, the Migrant Workers Office in Prague will host a Town Hall Meeting with the Filipino Community in Poland at Mercure Warszawa Centrum, ul. Złota 48/54, 00-120 Warszawa.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Pre-Employment Services' Assistant Secretary Levinson C. Alcantara and its Director, the Migrant Workers Protection Bureau's Attorney Geraldine C. Mendez, will serve as resource speakers.
Assistant Secretary Alcantara will give a broad summary of the DMW's mandates as well as the most recent changes to the Department's regulations that have an impact on Filipino workers abroad. In the interim, Director Mendez will discuss the Department's initiatives to combat human trafficking, third-country hiring, and illegal recruitment.

This is an opportunity for the participants to ask questions relevant to the topics to be discussed.

The University of the Philippines Manila Chorale (UPMC) brought home the Grand Prize from the Prof. Jan Szyrocki International Festival of Choral Song in Miedzyzdroje, Poland, marking a triumphant return from its month-long 10th European Concert Tour.

UP Manila Chorale, composed of alumni and students enrolled in different health science colleges, was the only foreign choir at the 59th edition of the oldest choir festival in Poland.
