We are blessed to live in a county that shows tremendous support of its youth. We are excited to announce we will be awarding the UC Buddies Show Scholarship again this year!

In 2023, Weston McFarland was our recipient of the $500 scholarship:
“It was an honor to win the UC Buddies Scholarship last year. I used the $500 to purchase my bucket calf, Caitlin Clark, from my family farm. I will keep Caitlin in my herd to raise baby calves. My Papa Jim and I purchased a purebred simmental, Millie, together. We collected 6 embryos from her and plan to use them to improve my herd genetics. I currently have four cows of my own.”

We are just one month away from a fantastic week at the Union County Fair!! As many of you know, it takes many hands to make this week happen. A week that showcases and celebrates the hard work of Clover Kids, 4-H and FFA kids all year long!!

Leading up to the fair, the Fair Board is requesting some extra volunteers to come help paint, pick up, organize and more. This can be on your schedule! message us to make arrangements if you can help out!

During the fair, the cook shack is the coolest place to be 😎! Use the Sign Up Genius Link Below to sign up for your chance to get a behind the scenes look to those that shake things ups, master the grill, wash + rinse, and slice + dice their way to the next scheduled shift.

Lots of activities going on at the Union County Fairgrounds this weekend! For those that are coming we are asking for your help in parking trailers. For the horse event please use and park on the south side of the fairgrounds. For the Pig Show please use and park on the north side of the fairgrounds. Around the pig barn please make sure all doors are left clear so we can get trailers in and out on the east side and the south side. There is no parking in the cattle barn as this space will be used for the horse clinic in the event of rain which looks likely. If something changes we will let you all know. Thanks again for attending the events at the Union County Fairgrounds!

Union Clover Kids pitched in with a little trash pickup today at Green Valley (although GV is extremely clean, so it turned into more of a nature walk😉). We ended with s’mores around the fire & a quick football game. Great day to be outside!🍀

Each year, our community comes together on the last day of the fair to purchase animals raised and shown by our very own Union County 4-H and FFA Members. It's a great way for businesses, families, and individuals in our community to show their support and gratitude to these hard-working kids.
