PRAYER REQUEST:

Please pray for Danny Funderburk. He is scheduled to be inducted into the SGMA Hall of Fame next week, but suffered an accident which left him with a severe concussion. His wife, Shelley, shares this:
"Danny will have a MRI today to see if he possibly has had another stroke because he still has some memory loss. He is still not himself at all. We are struggling with what to do regarding next week and all the hoopla and celebrations that are a part of it. It would break my heart and I’m sure Danny’s as well to miss next week. It is our favorite week of the year!
All I can ask at this time is this! PLEASE bombard the throne with prayers for Danny. In all honesty, without some serious changes, we will not be able to be there all week next week. It would just be too much for him. I will make sure he is there Tuesday for the induction but that might be it. He is not allowed to drive until tomorrow but he is in no condition to drive all the way to TN from NC as of right now anyway. We need God’s help! And maybe the help of a good driver.
I will do my best to keep Mark Trammell updated and I ask you to please just keep an eye out for any further updates at this time from him. We appreciate Mark making the initial post asking for prayer. He is a good friend! Everybody needs one of those!
For now, please just pray!
We love you all and we REALLY hope to be getting to see so many of you next week! Thank you in advance for your continued prayers!"

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” I Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

My precious, strong and courageous husband laid hold of eternal life last night.

When we discussed heaven through the years, Mylon was most excited about receiving the soul winner's crown. With his contemporary Christian rock band, Mylon and Broken Heart, he had the privilege of leading over 250,000 youth to Jesus. He cherished all the years of music ministry and the countless lives touched through his songs but his greatest joy was teaching the Word of God, especially through our broadcast, On the Road to Freedom. (This pic was his fave spot.)

Throughout the last years of this intense non-stop battle, never once did I hear him falter in his good confession of faith. In every broadcast and church service, many witnesses can attest to his bold declaration: JESUS IS MY HEALER.

Until his very last breath he fought the good fight of faith. He finished his race. He kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7

My honey, we discussed many times how we both daily answered the call for the holy affirmation that I know you are now hearing,

“Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

My love, you are finally enjoying in this moment what you affectionately referred to as “the first day of forever.”

It has been my highest honor and privilege for God to trust me with you these past 25 years.

Gospel Music-Live [GML concerts]

[Promoting gospel, country, and bluegrass musical artists since October, 1972]

Forty seven years ago, James Lawson promoted his first "Southern Gospel concert" featuring- JD Sumner and the Stamps, the LeFevre's, the Rhythm Masters Quartet and a regional group known as the Evangelaires. Tickets at that time were $3.00 advance and $3.50 at the door. He was also the first promoter in the NE Ohio area to start Christian dinner concerts at the Kaufman Center, Hartville, Ohio. Over the past four decades James has had the opportunity of working with well over 150 national touring gospel artists and has had the opportunity to work with many gospel music legends. i.e.: James Blackwood, Hovie Lister, JD Sumner, Jake Hess, George Younce, Bill Gaither, Glen Payne, Jack Pittman, Eva Mae Lefevre, and many others.

The journey continues "2019" as GML concerts partners with Christian Healthcare Ministries, Barberton, Ohio, to promote artists at their new CHM Event Center concert hall and now the opening of the Executive Dining Hall with Stage-II in the spring.

Starting "2020" the Gospel Music Live team will carry on the "37th year legacy" of concerts in Wooster, Ohio, formerly promoted by the Gospel Bookstore of Berlin.
