So behind the scenes of working full time as an executive chef downtown and maintaining strait A’s in my classes... I figured, I could push myself further. So I started my own business. I now own a private catering company called Alaskan Beets by J! Last night we had our first event catering to a nonprofit organization striving for wellness for Alaskans, the Akeela group. The venue was the beautifully designed “The Megan room”. I also had the satisfying pleasure of working with one of the hardest working leaders here in the Anchorage community, Christopher S. Constant . Also worth mentioning, the mighty talented chef Alex Devon joined in on the action and helped me operate my first event. I wanna thank you all for salivating at my food posts and stopping by to see me in action. Your support only pushes me to work harder for my own personal goals and dreams. I’m just happy I get to feed y’all.
