A little update! 🏹

Over the last 9ish months there have been so major & exciting changes. All such good things & I’m so grateful!

I'm finishing up a new website for a rebrand & I have some smaller detailed things I need before I officially launch it. But I've been doing it all by myself as well as trying to finish the end of year galleries, book events for the year ahead, find second shooters, & manage clear communication with all my current clients. It's been overwhelming & I'm often saying how there just isn't enough time in a day or enough Melanie's to help with the workload. (Olive's been doing her best, but she has such little arms, she's a bit limited lol).

Things are on the brink of giant & exciting & pretty change & I truly cannot wait to share it with you!
Every single client I've had has been a true dream & I feel like the luckiest to be able to work with each of you.

With all of that said, I'm just a Me & I'm doing my best to keep up with all of the changes & all of the deadlines. I'm learning so much but I'm nowhere near perfect, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness & patience.

I still have dates open for the summer & winter if you or anyone you know is looking for a wedding photographer! I have a feeling this year is going to be one of the best yet!

So excited to share more (hopefully) so soon.

the fall vibes were just dripping from every inch of this wedding. Venue was an actual haunted house, they had a magician, an Irish folk band, a surprise thriller dance, & the weather could not have been more perfect. I’m not sure what it was about yesterday (I have a few guesses) & why it felt so magical, but it was such a good day.

Schuyler & Matt were so sweet, their friends were the most friendly, the aesthetic was 🤌🏼- I could go on.

It affirms what I’ve said a million times: we really really love what we do. We are SO lucky.

One thing about me is that I love love so much and one of my favorite things about this job, is seeing how very different love can look like for people. No couple is the same- you all have your different quirks, inside jokes, and ways of showing your love for one another. I cry at almost every wedding and I’m so honored to be able to have a front row seat to see it all. Fitzgerald famously wrote, “There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice.” 🤍

We went to Paris!!

As clichè as it is, it’s been my dream since I was little to come here and it was more magical than I ever imagined.

It’s so surreal to see something in real life when you’ve had such vivid dreams of it for so long. I felt like I was experiencing it twice at the same time- once taking it all in & experiencing it live & second, feeling as if it’s already a memory. I don’t know if that makes sense 😅

So grateful for the experience and can’t wait to go back!
