KidCo is the youth division of HLOC. We offer fall, spring and summer class sessions that each culminate in an end of term performance. And, it’s fun!

KidCo was established in 1998 to teach a new generation about American Musical Theatre. The goal of KidCo is to provide quality education in the skills of musical theatre. Singing, dancing, and acting are taught in combination with theatre games and stage etiquette. KidCo instructors are all trained vocalists with strong backgrounds in dance and acting. Through creative curriculum and positive ene

rgy, these experienced staff members guide the KidCo students towards learning not only the next musical or dance step, but teamwork, discipline and skill. Children who participate in a performing arts program team learn about themselves and the world around them. Training in the performing arts has long been recognized as a strong self-esteem builder. Youth with high self esteem are in a better position to develop academic excellence and prepare for a vital adult life.

HLO KidCo is excited to announce auditions for Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr.. Bring a song and your best smile on December 7, 4:30-5:30 5 - 9 year olds, 5:15 to 6:30 10 to 18 year olds, and join in the fun! Production dates are March 3-5 at Eureka High Auditorium. Rehearsals start January 4 and run after school Tuesdays - Thursdays. Auditions and rehearsals take place at The SPACE 92 Sunny Brae Center, Arcata. For information email [email protected].
