We know GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER for his uses of the peanut, but did you know he also invented some paints and stains? Using BAKING SODA and WATER we did a little mark making and hand prints. Once dried, we painted the images with TURMERIC and HAND SANITIZER to make this beautiful red color!

We got an awesome new instrument so we made it a lesson!

Although he wasn't the originator of the microphone, James Edward Wests brilliance is credited for it's evolution into the one we use today!
He ended is 40 year career with Bell Laboratories having 47 US patents and more than 200 foreign patents.

In celebration of John Lee Love inventing the pencil sharpener... WE SHARPENED PENCILS! This activity served as sensory and literary. Mark making is the first step to writing and they did great! The sounds from the sharpener excited one while making the other skeptical lol.
