Morgan Opera House

Morgan Opera House Located on the second floor of the Tudor style Aurora Free Library building, the theater is operated by a dedicated group of community volunteers.

The intimately-sized 200-seat Morgan Opera House, built in 1899 in Aurora, NY, is a restored Victorian gem featuring an original raked stage with pressed tin proscenium, leaded glass windows, original seating, splendidly crafted woodwork and superb acoustics. To walk the streets of Aurora NY is to peer through a window in history, to see the aspirations of great families striving onward to present day.
Over one hundred years ago, Louise Morgan Zabriskie funded construction of the this beautiful Tudor Revival that houses a theatre and the Aurora Free Library. A gift to be enjoyed by generations to come, and to serve as a focal point of the community.

We are pleased to announce that our February Community Benefit Dinner will be in donation to the Morgan Opera House. Please Join us on Thursday February 8th for a Chicken Parmesan Dinner starting at 4pm. $5 from every dinner sold will be going to donation.
